Here you are in the exclusive Sheldrake area, in the heart of the Finger Lakes on Cayuga Lake...surrounded by the many vineyards, wineries, farms, hiking trails, gorges, state parks, fabulous restaurants, theatres, and just 15 minutes to Seneca Lake, 20 minutes to Ithaca and Cornell University, and easy access to Seneca Falls and Watkins Glen.

Now about this very special and unique Lake Home (smile):
Feel the serenity and peace sitting on the wraparound deck, overlooking the beauty of a vast and almost endless long view of Cayuga Lake. Would you prefer to sit on the outdoor deck sectional, relax in the hammock or the egg chair? Or perhaps at 1 of the 2 outdoor tables and have your breakfast...or dinner after grilling on the deck's BBQ? Take your coffee down to the lake in the morning and lounge on the dock in front of the boathouse. If you're with a group, sit around together on the Adirondack chairs (where you can also grill on the firepit in the evening). Entertaining or just musical? Enjoy the beautiful Baby Grand Piano in the living room that overlooks the lake. Lounge in the eat-in-kitchen and catch up on your news if you'd like, watching the flat screen smart TV. Step into the "sunroom" through the French doors off the kitchen to relax and gather (or take a peaceful nap after reading a chapter or two of your book). Take a walk around the corner for a wine tasting at Sheldrake Point Winery. Feel like some watersports? Take out the canoe, paddleboat, kayak or the stand-up paddleboards. Is it a chilly night? Cozy up in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine or maybe a glass of spirits from nearby Myers Farm Distillery. Take a short ride around the corner to the Wycoff Farm Stand to gather all of the tastiest and freshest fruits, vegetables, local meats and products you desire. Or go to local farms where you can pick the produce yourself.

You will never have enough time to do everything this area has to offer because (1) we are so close and accessible to everything people come to the Finger Lakes for, and (2) you may just not want to leave the property at all. Stunning views of the lake and an amazing lake front with a huge storage shed and great lake toys. Really loved the paddle boards. Second only to the fishing. Most fish we have ever caught in the fingerlakes. Only downside was the lakefront is a shared space. But that wasn’t an issue with the people who stayed in the adjacent cottage when we were there. So much lawn for outdoor games! And the wrap-around porch was lovely for dining, relaxing and playing late night games after sunset! Thanks for the great vacation!

Fabulous stay! Place has essentials. Loved that we have lake access and lake toys! Even had wood to use in the fire pit. Extra trash bags paper towels and spices. Great communication and provided tips for places around. I will absolutely book again!!!

Great stay at Longview Manor

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house is laid out well and is well stocked. The property has all the amenities one could ask for - grand piano, large lot, great views, lots of TVs with streaming, grill with gas connection, dock, equipment to use on the lake, etc. Marla is kind and went out of her way to help us. Everyone in our family enjoyed the property and the stay.

Great selection of cooking utensils, pots, pans, even an egg slicer.Great number of water toys/ crafts in the boathouse. Nice boathouse too!Central air worked well. Very nice to have.The decks are amazing! So nice to have 3 separate sitting areas on the front deck to choose from.

Wonderful lake house for a family

I stayed at Longview with my wife and two year old daughter, and our parents came up to join us for part of the week as well. The house is as described, and the location/neighborhood was very pleasant. The dock/lake access and large front porch were particularly nice, and the property owner was very responsive and helpful with recommendations. I would highly recommend this property and hope we are able to come back again next year.

Gorgeous lakefront property

What a gorgeous location! We loved our time at Longview. The home was well appointed and the lake was a short jaunt across the street. We enjoyed the paddle boards and canoe. Next time, we'll walk to the winery around the corner. We ran out of time doing all the other activities the area has to offer!

Great lakefront getaway

Had a perfect weekend with friends by the lake. House snd lake boathouse were nice. View frim tfrom the deck and front lawn is stunning. House was clean and well equipped. Porch and biathouse could have been a bit cleaner, lots of spiderwebs…. But did not mind it, with such perfect setting overall!

Nice Lake House With Plenty Of Water Toys

Loved the house and the location. It's located in a protected cove which keeps the waves down if the wind blows from the south or west. We bought groceries on the way to the house which was a mistake because the kitchen was stocked with many extras. Appliances looked new and there were plenty of towels for the beach and shower. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms and a big wrap-around the house deck. The beach has two large docks and two small fire pits. It was the perfect house for our vacation and we enjoyed our stay.

Try it. You'll like it

This is a lovely place in a lovely location. Great views over the lake. Everything you need is here. Just bring your bathing suits. Kitchen is full of dinnerware, spices, utensils, spices etc. The appliances are smart, smarter than we are, but fortunately Marla left instructions and also the instruction manuals. If you can't get it, let Marla know and she'll help you out right away. In fact, she will help you out quickly with anything you need.

Beautiful Property. A Bit Overpriced

My family and I spent 3 nights at this beautiful property. Location is excellent -- there really is a long view! A couple of notes for future prospective renters: - In our estimation the rate is a tad high. We spent the previous 4 nights at a similar place on Keuka Lake where the daily rate was $490. - If you plan to cook, you'll find that the kitchen is a bit wanting (the appliances are very new and nice but the cupboards are chaotic and basics like a real cutting board, sharp knifes, and dish rack are missing) - If you're sensitive to musty odors, avoid the entry room and the back room. - The waterfront was a bit of a mess with a broken, half-submerged plastic chair in the water and rotten boards and peeling paint on the dock. We cleaned it up ourselves and enjoyed it just fine. Again, this is a beautiful property and we loved our time there but given the shortcomings above, we felt it was a bit overpriced.

Marla was an amazing host. She was communicative and the check in and out processes were easy to follow. The property is as advertised with amazing views of the lake. Access to the lake is right across from the house. The area is perfect to explore what the lakes have to offer. We would definitely stay here again!
