This is a beautiful house where we have stayed twice over the years. There are many comfortable rooms for the whole family to enjoy. The lake and the lake deck are great for a quiet morning or a late night bonfire. The kitchen is well equipped. The space is lovely and well decorated. The entire multigenerational family enjoyed our stay.

Our visit to The Painted Porch was fantastic. The home, neighborhood and time of year made for a perfect getaway with our dogs. We enjoyed the historic nature of the property, and appreciated that it was well appointed, maintained, clean and comfortable for modern life. We enjoyed the nearness of restaurants, as well as the tranquil setting of the lake. It was the perfect mix to enjoy walking, wineries and scenery. Alison was terrific about answering our questions and setting us up for a great time. We hope to come back and visit again. Highly recommend this property!

This was a great location! There is a terrific bar and brunch/ breakfast spot next door. The street is beautiful and not busy. The lake is so lovely!

Graduation getaway

We stayed at the painted house for our son’s graduation. It was home away from home. We had everything we needed and were able to cook all our meals at the house. I highly recommend this beautiful lakefront retreat. As an added feature there is meticulous landscaping and bird feeders all around. A nature lover’s dream.

Great place to stay. Location was awesome. We were there for a wedding in the area. Family from all over the country were able to stop by for dinner or just a drink. Lake was amazing with plenty to do for all ages.

Beautiful home with everything we needed for a family getaway. The front porch was one of my favorite spots to sit with the grandkids and watch the lake. Plenty of room for everyone and lots to do in the area as well.

Overall the property suited our needs. We had a few concerns about amenities included and the owners were very quick to respond and rectify. Location was perfect, our teenagers loved the lake access and swimming/kayaking all day everyday.

Great experience in the Finger Lakes

Four of us stayed in the painted porch for the weekend. The house is historic and charming. The view of the lake is gorgeous and neighborhood is quiet. There is plenty to do in this area and it ia all easy to access on Route 89. Thanks to Allison for a great stay.

Beautiful property with exquisite view of the lake and a large backyard to relax and play games. Host was easy to work with for any questions. House is unique - was fun to take walks and see other properties in the area as well. 10 of us stayed and there was plenty of room. Only negatives (small) were that the kitchen was not huge and cupboard/refrigerator space for food was limited. An additional half bath would also be great, as 2 full bathrooms for 10 people presented a few challenges at times. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend to others.
