Together they live in the main house (which is separate from the Casita) manage and maintain the "Southwest Casita Escape" property. Michael and Bernie are always enhancing the property with several key features like; additional parking, upgrading the furniture, sanitizing equipment between each stay to ensure good health and the prevention of germs, and many other features.

Mike and Bernie both travel a lot. Mainly to see what other home owners and resorts are doing to make each stay fun and safe. From England to France, and from New York city to the shores of California they have collected information solely to ensure your time at their "Southwest Casita" is enjoyable. Come visit them and see what people are talking about.
Thank you, and safe travels.

Why they chose this property

- 20 years ago we chose this neighborhood for its peace and quiet, but more importantly, the stunning landscape views and abundant wildlife. There's no dangerous wildlife, just plenty of squirrels, quails, hawks, turkey vultures, and coyotes. Plus the area is very close to restaurants and shopping , but still feels urban.

Every morning we step out our back door and see the Sandia mountains and vast distances of the non-active volcanos along with hot air balloons skipping along the sunrise horizon as thought putting on a performance just for us. Truly inspiring.

What makes this property unique

- We are located on the east side of the ridge formed by the volcano's lava flow, on the west side of Albuquerque (southern side of Rio Rancho). From our land, you can see the Sandia Mountains, all seven volcanoes, Mount Taylor, and the Santa Fe Mountains. Our unique location allows us to see an abundance of wildlife and yet be very close to shopping and restaurants. The greatest of both worlds.
