Recently renovated in Spring 2022, you will enjoy a traditional cabin vibe with a modern twist. The Aerie is the ideal getaway for couples, friends or families with kids as there's something for everyone. 4WD/AWD is not REQUIRED but could be helpful if you're not comfortable with gravel roads or hills.

Our quiet cabin is tucked away in the Blue Ridge mountains on Picklesimer Mountain in Morganton, Georgia. Our neighborhood is calm and relaxed and most of the mountain's residents live here full time. We kindly ask that you do not play loud music or do anything to disrupt the wildlife or the residents of this majestic mountain.

We are located 7 miles from Morganton Point Recreation Area and beach, 10 miles from Blue Ridge Marina and 13 miles from Downtown Blue Ridge! It takes about 20 minutes to get to downtown Blue Ridge and half of that is getting to the main road.

Our cozy cabin is perched on the side of a mountain (hence the name, The Aerie) and the final mile of your journey will be on a well-maintained gravel road. The last half-mile stretch is up a steep (but safe) incline. The hill can be traversed with most vehicles and a 4x4 is not REQUIRED. Most people that live on the mountain full time have some sort of AWD SUV but there are plenty with traditional FWD vehicles. Upon booking, we will send you a video of a Toyota Avalon (driving by 70-year old grandparents) making the trip with ease. One thing is for sure, your vehicle will leave a bit dusty. Think of it as a badge of honor. =)

Because we are so secluded, making a "run into town" is going to take you 20 minutes each way. We suggest stocking up on groceries in Blue Ridge on your way up - that's what we do.

We are not aware of any rideshare or food delivery services that service the mountain, so please do not include these options in your plans.

We will provide you with directions and video on how to get to the property. Waze will always get your there, other apps have been hit or miss.

The Aerie boasts three sleeping areas which include dual King masters; one on the main floor and the other on top. The bottom floor has two bunk beds; one is a twin-over-twin and the other is a twin-over-full. All beds at the property, including two kings, one full and three twins feature CertiPUR-US Certified 12” Green Tea Memory Foam mattresses.

Our recently-remodeled kitchen has everything you need to prepare a nice family dinner or heat up a quick meal. Can't live without an Air Fryer? We've got you covered! We have all the pots, pans and cutlery you'll need plus a coffee bar, toaster, Nurti-bullet and microwave.

Our main floor is comprised of the living room with a gorgeous leather couch, two comfy chairs and a 55" HD TV above the fireplace. Feel free to wander on over to the reading and wine nook near the entryway, too. Want to take the party outside? Our main level has a massive wrap-around deck where you can always catch an amazing view of the sunset.

Desire a quick workout or need a space for yoga or meditation? Our loft features everything you'll need including a Peloton bike overlooking the mountains and a fitness mat, kettle bells and resistance bands. After you're done with your workout, head on out out to the the top-level, screened-in porch and take in the view in the rocking chair and relax.

Our bottom floor doubles as a sleeping space and game room. For your entertainment, we have a pool table, 65" HD TV, multiple board games and three stand-up arcade games! There's also a full bathroom for your convenience.

Our home features multiple lounge spaces on two different levels to relax and take in the peace and quiet of our mountain. Once the sun goes down, hop in the brand-new, 6-person hot tub! Don't forget to turn on the colorful LED lights and fountains!

All TVs are ROKU enabled and Netflix is already loaded on all TVs!
