'Hideaway Cove' is a HUGE Norris Lake shoreline home located a super easy drive from the Interstate 75 exit and the super Walmart, hiking, and Royal Blue Wildlife management area. Hiking is a couple minutes away at Cove Lake State Park or heavy-duty Cumberland Trail..

Your personal dock has a swim platform with diving board to provide hours of fun and just soaking in the cleanest lake. You can bring your own boat. There is room for 1 covered boat and 1 uncovered. Take your boat to nearby Twin Cove Marina for ice, gas, beer, burgers, and entertainment. No boat? No worries! Rent a watercraft from Twin Cove Marina, Mountain Lake Marina, Norris Dam Marina, and Sequoyah Marina. Cruise by the huge, scenic Norris Dam and enjoy endless watersports.

Enter the home main level to immediately sense the large size and open floor plan. The camp chefs will love the enormous, well-equipped kitchen overlooking the party. The gas grill is right outside on the huge deck overlooking the woods and lake. The huge kitchen island and the two dining room tables provide seating for 22.

The large living room with TV, gas fireplace, and lots of seating provides the ultimate gathering place. The main level also provides bedroom #1, bedroom #2, a common bathroom, and the laundry room.

Up the beautiful staircase is bedrooms 3-5 and a loft overlooking the woods and lake for a perfect reading room.

The lower level has a TV room, game room, and bedrooms 6 & 7.

When goat to the house, it took almost a full day to lower the temp upstairs and there was no ice machine as advertised. But the home was great for our family. The lake was down about 7 ft and getting to the dock was accomplished only by the younger adults and our teenage grandson and his friend. But overall it was a great experieince.

Overall, we had a great time at the house. We booked it for the extended family for graduation. The house had more than enough room for everyone, including separate bathrooms. The kitchen was large and well equipped and there was tons of patio space. I would just caution that the lake is not very accessible for the older crowd and the water was so low that it made it somewhat uneventful (no fault of the house of course). I’d suggest some chairs down there. Also, fire pit was too small to enjoy for everyone. However, none of this would stop us from renting here again. The house itself was worth it

Hideaway cove is an amazing well stocked property. We loved the privacy of the cove and the amazing view. There was so much room for our large party. The decks were amazing!

We were very happy with the hideaway cove! It was very clean and equipped with all your needs. Perfect for a large group of guests! Overall, this place was better than we expected (pictures truly do not do it justice) and we will be booking again! Great family reunion with siblings. We each had our own room and bathroom and many rooms to chat and have entertainment. The driveway is really steep as well as the backyard. Be careful where you sit around the fire so you don’t mis-step and roll down the hill into the creek.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our trip and had a lot of fun swimming in the lake. We rented a boat for tubing and a double decker pontoon one day to all be together. The only downside to the house is all of the stairs to the water, they were definitely a hike. However, the house was beautiful, clean and very spacious. All the people in this area were super friendly and helpful.

Great views from inside house and decks. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, etc. There are many stairs in and out of the house. The walk to the dock is tiresome! There are a lot of stores nearby as well. Our family had a great time! Plenty of room for everyone to have space. Fast response of communication.

Love the lake and this was our first stay at this property. Very nice home and easy to get too. Lots of stairs so it was a bit tough for a few older family members. Overall, very nice stay and home! We’ll be back

Excellent property

Great rental with tons of space. Kitchen was fully stocked for whatever your cooking needs are. Tons of counter space. Almost every kitchen gadgets you need. This place completely feels like home.

Norris Lake Family Trip

Took the entire family down for our annual Norris Lake trip. We tend to stay in different parts of the lake each time. House was very large and accommodating for our entire family. House has lake access which was nice for the boats. The location was great because 10 minutes and you were to the store or highway. Perfect for a family getaway.

Tennessee Get Away

Absolutely amazing !! The property was everything it was advertised to be. Simple check in process, great house for a large group of family and friends in town for my daughters wedding. Already planning a return trip in the summer when we can take advantage of the lake. Huge house with plenty of room. Awesome time. Thank you !!

Beautiful and roomy home

This home is beautiful and just like pictured. We were impressed by how well the kitchen was stocked with dishes, glasses, coffee cups and flatware. Pots and Pans, coffee pots. More than enough! It saves on trash as we usually end up having to use paper products. Had a couple of snags neither which affected the wonderful time we had. Would recommend for large groups!

Great Spot for a Chill Vacation

This was a great spot for our annual family vacation! Secluded enough but close to town if we needed anything. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all! It was clean overall minus the dishes. Many were put away dirty and we had to wash them before using. There are A LOT of steps so if you have elderly or disabled folks in your party, this is not for you. We had lots of fun and will be booking with John again in the future!

Wedding

We had family from 3 different states join us for our wedding. Our ceremony was performed on the main level deck which provided beautiful backgrounds for all our wedding photos. There was plenty of room for all our guests. We had a wonderful weekend with our families and have some great memories to share.

Great location, and great deck space, numerous and comfortable couches, Smart TVs, etc... All appliances worked great. Overall pots/pans were garbage, bent, Teflon peeling, and kitchen cabinets were almost sticky from the dirt/grime. Bedrooms and bathrooms clean.

Great house, a ton of steps!

The house was great! We had 13 adults & 4 kids under 10 years old. There was plenty of space for everyone and bathroom space was great too! The only downfall were the steps to the water, we counted almost 170! It’s the last house in the cove, so the water was pretty stagnant. We had planned on swimming and floating right off the dock but we ended up boating almost all day! Which we were completely fine with😉!

Beautiful and Private

The house was clean and lovely. The kitchen had everything you need with pantry for storage. There’s a gas grill will extra propane tanks. The property is very private. There are a lot of steps which is standard for Lake Norris. The steps were sturdy and safe. The dock was great. The house was off a channel but able to swim off dock even when lake was lower. This side of the lake is less busy compared to other part of the lake that we stayed previously. This house is great, especially if you want a more private property.

Really Nice House, Poorly Maintained

This is a really gorgeous and huge house. Perfect for a family get away. Only thing is that when we got there, the house was very poorly maintained. The basic checkout items were obviously not done before we got there. The tubs and showers were infested with bugs and spiders webs. The deck is beautiful and two stories tall but the bars were falling out and the wood was rotting away. Fencing around steep drop offs were falling down and not functional. We had a 2 year old stay one night and no more because of the safety issue. The dock was the biggest concern as the ladder looked like it had been ripped off the dock and was just barely seen under the water and covered in green algae. Completely unusable to get out of the water. You could swim to the embankment but Leftover construction materials were left along the properties embankment as well as some chairs. Nails and splintered wood a plenty. Rotting was prevalent along the dock as well. Overall this house could be so good. But for the price I paid, I was very unhappy to be welcomed to a home that has been neglected so badly. Manager was semi decent at responding when he wanted to. Would’ve preferred if the sheets were on when I got there but there was worse that needed to be focused on.

And now for the other side of the story: Kyra booked the home and didn't even come close to meeting the age requirement. Kyra 25years of age also indicated there were only 2 adults, 0 children "just wanting to chill after the Kyra and Michael wedding reception 5-17-25 at Norris Dam State Park Tea Room. I decided to take a chance with Kyra even though she was far too young per my posted requirements. After booking she then asked about bringing 2 dogs. She sent me pictures of the dogs. I allowed the dogs and explained the rules and the pet fee.  She requested early check in and I gave it to her. Notice she omitted all of this in her review. Upon arrival Kyra sent pictures of the deck railing 'poles' and some flies in one sink. *** I immediately responded offering to send the cleaning crew back and the maintenance crew for the railing poles due to the dogs being able to fit between them. ***She quickly declined *** stating they were making due and letting the dogs out front where everything is mostly flat. She also had sent some pictures of the porch light being mounted crooked which, to any experienced property owner, is such an obvious, feeble, nitpicking attempt to posture for a refund. As predicted, after her stay she started with the typical refund attempts. (Reference only "2 adults") She also said (her words) she had to "listen to her mother-in-law complain on my wedding day." You can't make this stuff up. See your future Kyra. The cleaning crew said every bed was used. I asked her what she wanted. She said the cleaning fee of $547." In reality, her invoice clearly shows the cleaning fee was only $380. Knowing Kyra is a shyster, and predicting a retaliatory review, Kyra received nothing. By the way, she still owes $150 for the dogs.

The house was large as described with a big kitchen to accommodate the 8 of us without feeling cramped. Every couple had their own bedroom/bathroom with room to spare. The host was informative by providing all the information we need regarding items to bring with you. The proximity to town is very close and convenient. However, the property is in need of repair as it is well worn from the furniture to the paint to the game room games…I.e foosball table is partially broken, basketball game only has one hoop. We were unable to get the TV in the basement to work. These are additional items that we found to be unacceptable in a house of this magnitude. The master bathroom on the main level, the shower has so much mold on the walls we did not we did NOT even use it, the charcoal grill has not been cleaned in ages and even after a thorough cleaning of approximately an hour of our time it would not heat over 300° So cooking a ribeye’s became a challenge. We replaced the AC filter on the upstairs unit as the old one was filthy! Evidence of mouse droppings in the kitchen. One of the bedroom door handles upstairs does not function properly, and initially we thought it was locked off from the rest from the rest of the house, as you must lift up on the hamdle in lieu of pushing down on the handle to enter the room. The towels that were provided should be kept in the rag drawer as they are worn out, glad we brought our own. A ton of deferred maintenance inside and outside!!!

The house was beautiful with plenty of room for all 17 of us. The place is huge and spacious. The AC went out on the top floor during a heat wave. It was fixed the next day but made for a miserable night. Even with it fixed, the upstairs got super hot every evening. The lake was a disappointment. We would usually spend most of our vacation on Norris in the water and just hanging out. It’s on a very narrow cove and the water was low and looked a bit stagnant at first. One of the major reasons we rented this house was lake access and the diving board and traveling with 8 kids. The diving board is no longer there. And the stairs are so steep! Thank God for the pool table because it kept the teenagers entertained. Even with that being said, the place was very comfortable and huge kitchen was a major bonus.
