Luxury cabin located on the highest point in Halibut Cove. Stunning, 360 degree views of Halibut Cove, Homer, Glacier Spit, and the head of Kachemak Bay. Enjoy the solitude of this remote and secluded cabin, and catch a glimpse of soaring eagles and whales swimming in Kachemak Bay. Access to the cabin is via a moderately-challenging hiking trail (however, we will transport you and your supplies to the cabin when you first arrive in Halibut Cove on the Kachemak Bay Ferry, M/V Danny J).
The cabin has incredible views from every room! Comfortable, queen-sized bed in sleeping loft, full kitchen with breakfast bar, indoor bathroom with shower and flush-toilet, and large deck where you can watch the sunrise and sunset, and wildlife.
The Saltry Restaurant, Halibut Cove Experience Gallery and The Cove Gallery are a 20 minute walk from the cabin. Bring your fishing pole and cast for Dolly Varden and salmon from the Isthmus Beach, or wander the boardwalks of quaint Halibut Cove.
Transportation can be arranged through the Kachemak Bay Ferry, aboard the M/V Danny J.

Loved this place so much! I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a month. This is a perfect little house, has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The views are incredible. Tracy & Vince are always available for anything you might need. Highly recommend it!
Thank you Tracy & Vince for this wonderful house!
This was my second visit to this Halibut Cove cabin. The views are unparalleled - mountain ranges and glaciers on one side, the bay and a lagoon on another side. We watched whales breaching each night from the highest spot on the property and then sat on the deck to watch the sun "set" each night.
This cabin has a fully stocked modern kitchen for cooking, it also has an amazingly comfortable bed upstairs with views of mountains and water in 3 directions. There are shades on the windows to block the light at night so you can sleep. The bathroom was clean, stocked with soap, lotion, and shampoo and conditioner. There's running hot and cold water - which not all rental cabins in Halibut Cove have. Our hosts, Tracey and Vince, met us at the ferry and offered to take us and our bags up to the cabin. The cabin is about a 20 to 25 minute walk away from the ferry dock and Saltry restaurant. We ate lunch or dinner at the Saltry each day and cooked the rest of our meals at the cabin. If you enjoy solitude, spectacular scenery and are content to sit and read/eat/drink/cook/converse when not hiking or kayaking - this place is for you.
My husband and I went here for our honeymoon after our wedding. What a wonderful place to unwind and get away from it all (barely have Verizon service)! The view and atmosphere took our breaths away. The cabin is in tip-top condition and possesses all the necessary cooking supplies. We stopped at Safeway in Homer before we caught the Bay Roamers water taxi over to the cove. We ate dinner each night at The Saltry. The food was superb, a little repetitive after 4 nights, would have brought food to grill one night if I knew the grill was so nice. Tracey was very helpful coordinating our taxi rides and kayak rental. It's like a mini travel agency since everyone in cove knows everyone else and works together. It's a good 20+ minute walk from the Saltry to the cabin with a steep incline, fine for us but would definitely not work for some. But luckily there is only 1 road and it was light until 11pm! Making walks back after dinner easy. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay at this little cabin located up on the hill with great views!!! Enjoyed our walks up & down to the Cove.
The cabin was very Clean.
The cabin, the views, the location...all are unparalleled! The cabin was spotless, efficiently laid out, and contained everything we needed to relax. The two levels gave us plenty of room to spread out. The wrap around deck was an added bonus. The 360 degree view of Kachemak Bay made us feel like we were inside a travel guidebook. To be in the middle of the wilderness but have hot water, a comfortable bed, and laundry facilities awaiting us at the end of the day allowed us to have the best of two worlds. Can't wait to return.
We fell in love with Halibut Cove and this cabin! The view from this cabin is astounding. It has all the comforts you might want and more. We had an amazing time and can't stop thinking about when we'll return.
