I'm just an addicted builder-creative type who is also a workaholic. So I bought this house and my wife just shakes her head, after 9 years her head is shaking the other way and we truly enjoy hosting guests and continuing the improvements.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

In 1993 I drove past this home for the first time; 20 years later it was for sale and I have been working on it ever since. So many friends and family members have helped and after 9 years I can say it is saved and close to its original glory. The founder of Shepherd built this home; Isaac Newton Shepherd; it is our honor to restore the home and save it from certain demolition.

The house has historic significance and maintains some original building cues. We try not to modernize the home and you will find we use older building methods and materials when possible. Generally only individuals with building experience will be able to tell the difference between original and refurbished areas.
