This is such a lovely cottage. Everything is nice and new, -- bedding is super comfortable as are the mattresses. The view, although somewhat obstructed is gorgeous. It's so quiet and dark at night, - I'd love to come back and simply get lost for a while. Orcas is a special place and this stay made it all the more special

Very comfortable, quiet and peaceful house, perfect for our family of three. Kitchen was great, grill on the deck worked well and hot tub a nice feature after swims in Mountain Lake. Communication with the hosts was great, they reached out with all needed information early and kept in touch through checkout.

Just returned from an absolutely perfect fall weekend. The house is beautiful and just as well stocked as other reviewers have noted. We headed out each morning to hike Mt. Constitution, Mountain Lake loop, and Obstruction Pass State Park (an under-rated gem!). That meant that late afternoons were the perfect time to relax on the deck, make dinner on the grill, and finish off with a soak in the hot tub.Pre-arrival communication was stellar, the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and we'd return in a heartbeat.

We wanted a very quiet escape and this was everything we hoped for and more. The location is in a very peaceful and quiet part of the island, the views from the kitchen, living room and bedroom are gorgeous, we used the hot tub each morning and evening with only the sound of the birds around us. The home was clean, the hosts were very thoughtful and considerate to our needs. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. It could not have been better. We look forward to returning to this getaway! Thank you.

It was a beautiful home. We had a peaceful stay! Everything was well kept and their instructors were clear and easy to follow. Bed was very cozy! Such a nice view from the hot tub.

Couldn’t say enough great things about this place! Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great shower and amenities and a gorgeous water view. Highly recommend, may make it an annual trip!

All was good/great. My only advice is for older less mobile guests, this might not be the place because of the stairs. Anyone else, this is a great place, far away from the crowds. The nap on the deck with the sounds of the water, breeze and birds was my zen moment there. Everything you need is in the kitchen. The place was clean and organized. Also, plenty of instructions around to figure the place out. (except the heat in the downstairs bedroom took me a while to figure out!) We didn't use the hot tub but it looked well maintained. Bottom line, it is a happy place!

You can sit on the deck and see the water with your cup of coffee and then walk down the road a bit and have lunch at Doe Bay.

A lovely escape

It was lovely to stay in this home. It had a nice view and deck to sit out on. It was very peaceful and nicely decorated. The kitchen was wonderful for cooking. When out on dog walks I often saw deer in the woods, and it was an easy walk to the Doe Bay Resort, where I grabbed dinner one evening. All around a great stay.

Once we turned off the highway onto the packed dirt road leading to the home we knew we had made the right choice! The home was perfectly sized for a family of two children and two adults. The kitchen was easy for two people to work together in and the big couch provided plenty of opportunity for relaxing between dips in the hot tub. The hot tub was absolutely the highlight of the trip. With a beautiful view and located only steps from the warm house.

This home is a literal dream come true and the host was great. The home is perfection. Impeccably clean, everything in working order and in excellent condition. There are a few homes next door but if you don't like that, go get a 2000/night rental. Only

House with a view

Our Doe Bay stay was wonderful especially with the location of the house. Close to Doe Bay resort and their fabulous restaurant, this house was cozy without being tight, had lovely dark skies, and was in a very quiet location. Not interested in eating out? The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, silverware and knives.

Amazing, relaxing home!

We spent a wonderful week at this rental and can’t say enough great things! The location is beautiful, the house is so well appointed, and the owner was really communicative and helpful. We especially loved the relaxing vibe (great decor!) and the well stocked kitchen. It was great to have the Roku TV, too. This was the perfect home base for us and our pup for a week of exploring beautiful Orcas. We loved it so much, we asked to add on a night to our stay! Highly recommend this property - you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely place, very quiet and serene. The olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee seem like you can count on them being nicely stocked which is nice. The shower and toiletries were great. My tips for a good stay would be to bring a robe as there aren’t window treatments for the walk from the larger bedroom to a bathroom and be advised there are stairs to get to the various rooms if that is an issue for you. There isn’t an ice maker. This part of Orcas is very seasonal so make sure the things you want to do are open.

Regarding the ice maker, while the home doesn’t have one, we do provide plenty of ice trays and make sure they’re filled prior to each guest’s stay. Peaceful retreat

We stayed at the Cottage at Doe Bay for about a week in late September and had such an amazing time. It was so peaceful and quiet. My husband and I enjoy to cook and thought the kitchen was well stocked. The bed was also comfy. The cottage is within walking distance to Doe Bay Resort and that was also an amazing little spot. It has a nice farm to table cafe and we had dinner and happy hour while we were there. They do have limited days and hours. But I think that’s just island time. Would definitely come back!
