I am a San Diego native and am the owner of this beautiful property. I take pride in my properties and am responsive to any of my renters needs. Spring Break in Empire Beach!

My son and I stayed on spring break. I loved how quiet Empire Beach was for our stay. The park, water and pier view was amazing and we could keep the windows open. Not many shops, restaurants or bars in town but Coronado was just a 10min drive up the road. Secure parking was amazing! FYI the controller opens the door but it closes automatically. There are grocery carts for use to haul stuff from your car up to the condo. POSITIVES: water pressure, showers were great and big, new appliances, quiet, pool and hot tub, TV and reception, privacy, security, private secure parking, easy to access, easy to get in and out, close grocery store, good dining table and chairs, beach chairs available for use, sound of the waves crashing, watching locals in the park was really nice and when the park closes it's quiet. A few homeless but we felt really safe. TV in both bedrooms worked great.

NEGATIVES: Mstr bed mattress is beyond shot, carpets and carpets on top of carpets all need to be replaced, couch and chair springs are shot, only 2 high chairs on small patio that could use updating - they were just ok we did sit out with our feet up but only big enough for 2 people. Towels were worn out and some had holes, bedding could use updating but I find that a lot with rentals. I would pay more for new mattresses and bedding in a rental.

Overall it was a great place and we were very happy. It was a 15min drive over the big bridge to San Diego!

Wonderful! The location is perfect!

Great location. The kids loved going from the beach to the hot tub and then the pool. We would love to make this a yearly tradition!! The condo was clean and equipped.

Relaxing mini vacation

I wish we could've stayed longer. This place is right off the beach and many local stores. Wonderful place for relaxing and as a home base for any Southern California adventures. Will definitely stay here again.

Not Happy at all. What you see is not what you get.

So disappointed !!! THE POOL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION When we arrived the first thing we noticed was the pool was under construction. We didn't check in but left. I called Teresa and told her I was disappointment that the pool was out of use and she said "We just recently found out that the pool at this property was not in use". I told her that I was going to contact Homeaway because this is not what I signed up for. She told me she would get back to me. 4 hours later I still had not heard from her and we didn't check in hoping to perhaps be placed in one of properties with a pool. I finally texted her and said I need to make a decision what can she do? Her text indicated that she has already given me a discount. Noooo, She did not do me any favors. We did not negotiate a lower price. My nieces were ready to relax and start their vacation thinking at least they have the ocean. The next day I found out the beach was closed too! due to a sewage spill from Tijuana that happened a week earlier. She is a resident of the area and knew about the spill and also neglected to tell me about that. Later that day I discovered a note on the pool gate(that I have a picture of) and also in the elevator saying that the pool would be closed From February 1st until March 31st. Teresa most certainly knew the pool was closed and has not been telling guests in advance. How can an owner not know that the pool was closed a month before my stay? During our emails before I booked and paid, I emailed her and said/asked that "some of the reviews indicate broken or run down items in the condo and I asked if these things were repaired or IF THERE WAS ANYTHING I SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT?". This would have been the perfect time to tell me the pool was not in use. I would have been concerned!! I feel duped and lied to. There is a big difference between being a savvy business person and being straight out dishonest for financial gain at the cost of disappointed guests. Overall the whole place needs a good power wash, repairs and paint. Some areas of the condo could be cleaner. Torn towels could be replaced. Not Happy and ran out of room to type. So much more to say.

Location Location Location

What a fantastic condo. The upgraded appliances were a benefit if we would have actually cooked but too many great restaurants to try in the area. Wonderful proximity to the beach, easy access and felt safe throughout the day. Only a couple of items as to why we didn't rate a 5 star. The blinds in the bedrooms do not tightly close and the morning sun peeks in early. No sleeping in this trip. Also the pool was being redone so it was quite noisy and dust so couldn't open the back windows to get air flow into the house. As the sun was setting, the living room heated up quite a bit since it was unseasonably warm at the time of our trip and would have been great to be able to open all the windows. Not sure if there was air conditioning but we closed up the living room curtains as tight as possible and opened the windows all the way to make it tolerable. Again, fell in love with Imperial Beach even though we couldn't go in the water due to the horrific sewage spill. Thanks for having us!! We would definitely like to return.

Great location and perfect spot on the beach. Near restaurants, bars, shopping, has it all. Having two parking spots was perfect. Would recommend for anyone wanting a home away from home.
