We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It means a lot to our team to know we’re making a difference for our guests. Thanks for trusting Coastal Link Properties! We hope to host you again soon!
Having a teen who wants to fish and family who wants to enjoy the beach, this location was prefect. Plus, we learned to play pickleball, crab hunting and of course watching the sunset each night. I highly recommend this condo!
We love the location of these low rise properties. Uncrowded beaches and less traffic. Condo was spotless and had all the basic essentials for a comfortable stay. Very pleased with the experience!
The area is beautiful. The listing was accurate in all the details. There were two downsides. The parking pass was $67 which I believe is a little high. There was also a little bit of mold in the sink and washer. Overall I still give all elements of the stay 5 stars. Check in was super easy and all communication regarding any issues were addressed quickly. We did loose our hot water, but the maintenance crew responded very quickly and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this condo to everyone who desires to experience Orange Beach, Alabama.
We loved the location of our condo. Being right on the beach even though it rained quite a bit we could still watch the ocean. But our condo was very damp. In the master bath there was a serious problem with condensation. Around the register was water dripping leaving water on the floor and making the room very damp feeling. One of our ladies couldn’t sleep in the room because it gave her headaches. We probably wouldn’t stay there again.

I hate you had that experience, not sure if dehumidifier was on or not.
Dehumidifier has a note on it saying please do not change the setting but sometimes people do and that was probably the case.
I will have cleaning service check the unit just to be sure!

First time in Orange Beach and we loved it! We had a slight problem getting the key out of the box ( us not her fault lol) I texted her and she responded very quickly. The view from the balcony is great, we even saw dolphins and rays! My only suggestion is coasters since the coffee tables are glass, oven mitts and possibly leaving glass cleaner lol My husband dripped something on the glass coffee table and there wasn't one cleaning product in the whole condo. We can't wait to come back and would rent this condo again if it was open to our dates! Clean, on the beach and great balcony!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disappointed
We had issue with the breaker flipping any time we tried to use the master bathroom electrical outlets and the guest bathroom outlets at the same time. We had to use 1 outlet in the master bedroom to get ready to go out to eat. We reported the issue and it was never resolved. We also found some bugs in the bathrooms. The master bathroom shower curtain rod and clips are rusted and it got all over my towels.

the management company accepted all fees well in advance, but did not send entry instructions the week before as promised. I called them around noon (no answer, left message) and messaged through VRBO to get entry instructions. A while later I got a VRBO message stating i needed to complete another form to get the instructions, which i was surprised to find that there was also an additional $62 charge for parking. I called again to find out about the parking and where i got the actual pass to hang in the window (no answer, left message), finally at 4:00, i got a call back where they were clearing messages from the phone. This is not the type of service i expect on arrival day.
When we got in the unit, there was a dehumidifier on the counter with a hose going into the sink, with a big sign on it that read, "Do NOT touch, you WILL lose your deposit", which seemed to me to be less than pleasant. BTW, the unit was never running the entire 5 day stay and there was a lot of moisture in the unit. The no smoking rules were not enforced, there was a lot of cigarette, cigar, and pot smoking that we could smell from out balcony daily.
Other than that the place was great, love the location, and Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area

Hey Phil, when you booked, we sent a message to you stating that the rental agreement needed to be signed to receive entry instructions 7 days prior to your arrival. I don't know whether you ignored that message, or did not fully read it. You did not sign the rental agreement until 12:56pm the day of your arrival which is why the entry instructions were delayed. Had the agreement been signed, the entry instructions would have been sent 7 days prior and the parking situation wouldn't have been so last minute - since that is not through us, rather the HOA. We only manage the unit itself, not the building, but when our guests report smoke smell on the balcony we do reach out to HOA to see if they can identify the unit and stop the smoking.

Construction noise for 30 days starting at 7:30 AM
We paid for our Month in March at Paul's condo at Wind Drift in June of 2018. We were told at that time there was major construction going on but would be completed by Feb 2019. We had no more contact with Paul or VRBO until we had traveled 1400 miles, on Feb 22nd. Called Paul that we had not received access information. He said he had not received payment and would we contact VRBO. Seeing we paid total mount we contacted VRBO and they said he gets his check March 4. Let Paul know. Upon arriving at the condo 3/1/2019 we noticed major construction was still going on and that 70% of the parking lot was full of containers, trucks, materials etc. As we entered the condo the first thing we noticed is that there was no access to the balconies and windows were covered in blue poly , no balcony railings, bolted shut. You could not hear, smell,or see the ocean ...no natural ventilation The ocean side was completed covered with scaffold with main stairway to 7 floors in front of our balcony. Everyday there was movement there daily. The only access to the beautiful beach was under this maze of scaffolding and the pool was covered with pkywood. We immediately called VRBO we did not want to stay here under these conditions We asked payment to Paul to be stopped and give us our money back. They said they couldn't do that and that it was between Paul and us to work out. We called Paul about what was going on and he said it wasn't his fault and would not refund our money. He knew this was not going to be completed on time and could have let us know way before we arrived, Seeing he lives in Mobile. More conversations took place over the first week until he told us to quit bothering him and he would give us 500 $ to get the H OUT. We stuck out the month because we had no other options. We have filed a formal complaint with VRBO through our credit card. No response as of yet. Summary...42 unit bldg, one renter, us. I wonder why? A dozen other owners were there working on their units remodeling for summer rush and felt our pain. They were told by Wind Drift not to rent because of construction. What does that tell you about Paul. On a good note, Paul's condo is very nice. The balcony railings got done we were able to at least go on the balcony to look closer at the scaffold and ocean the last week. Until claim settled fairly, I would not use VRBO or Paul.

To whom it may concern,
i talked with Cheryl Frasier several times before her arrival. Construction progress at Wind Drift was mentioned in every phone call and the last call she was told before her arrival there would be no access to balcony for several weeks since the complex were redoing balcony railings and that the were locked for safety by construction crew.
Cheryl said I do not care the wind chill factor is 25 below and we are coming!
She called the day they were to check in and I told her the same thing and she told me it did not matter all they did was play golf and read books.
Apparently Cheryl did not clarify the situation with her husband who called me complain, I said he would give them a 10% refund of their rent but that was not good enough he wanted a $1000.00 refund. I finally told him if he was that unhappy I would give him $500.00 to leave and we never heard from them again.
We were notified by the Wind Drift office that the check to Cheryl was still there. So it’s a classic case of a renter trying to profit after the fact knowing full well construction was in progress and since they did not get $1000.00 they wanted so they made a formal complaint.
We were told they had full access of our condo the last 2 weeks or so of their stay. You would think staying in a beautiful $500,000 condo directly on the Gulf of Mexico, white sand beach, beautiful sunrises and sunsets would be enough, plus the weather was very warm for March so you can imagine how nice it was down there. Again, I refused their demand for a $1000.00 to make the complaint go away.
Absolutely the most PERFECT location! We were looking for a quiet beach front getaway ... amd thats exactly what we got!!!The condo was clean and roomy. There was enough space for everyone! We will DEFINITELY be booking her again next time!
We loved our stay! The balcony was our favorite place to hang out. The condo has been updated which does not show in the pictures. There is no extras like chairs or umbrellas so make sure you rent or bring your own!
