Had a great time in Yakima. Made it to the house a day late but was very happy with the house and where it was located. Everything was super clean and very spacious
We were in town for a basketball tournament and the unit is close to the sun dome and several great restaurants and bars. Quite unit plenty of room for four adults; would be good for a small family as well with the bunk beds in the living room
My daughter participates in the washington all state choir; so, we visit Yakima every other year. The property is very convenient and the owners are very responsive. The house is nicely equipped with good wifi, streaming services and is pet friendly.
I’ll start with the pro:
1. While the fixtures were dated, everything was super clean.
2. While the hosts seemed to forget to send us check-in instructions including the door code, they did respond right away when we texted them when we arrived.
3. The property was spacious, with lots of sleeping options.
The con:
1. While the listing repeatedly referred to the property as a house, it is actually the basement of a house. The upstairs were inhabited by someone(s) who liked to get up really early in the morning and talk really loudly. The listing is misleading at best, completely dishonest at worse. We definitely wouldn’t have reserved it if we knew we would be sharing the building.
2. The kitchen is not as equipped as the listing sounds. There were no pots or cereal bowls. We ended up having to buy a pot to cook dinner.
3. None of the living room lamps worked.
4. We found one tv remote in the couch when we unfolded the sofa bed. The other Roku remote had dead batteries. The living room Roku stick was missing the power cord.
5. The parking was a little sketchy at night. There are motion activated lights, but they take forever to sense you’re there and light up.
You can tell the hosts are trying. Just a few more details to address.
