About this space
We invite you to come enjoy your time away at our fun lake front cottage on Little Barbee Lake. Close proximity to Big Barbee Lake (all sports lake)

Little Barbee is part of the Barbee Chain of Lakes with plenty of room to boat and fish. Bring your own boat or jet ski as the dock is steps away from the cottage.

The space
We love the quiet, peaceful resting place this cottage provides with all the amazing panoramic lake views. Cool and inviting in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter!

A chat with a local lake resident may result in the best places to catch a variety of fish - Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, Yellow Perch, Northern Pike and maybe even Muskie!

Our home is set up to accommodate 4 guests. It's best suited for a couples get away or for small families. We may be willing to make some exceptions based on ages of guests.

April thru Oct these amenities are available at the cottage:

• Private pier provides easy off and on water access for boaters/jet skis or Kayaks
***Important Safety Precautions: We have 2 under water fans located on our lake property. They are marked by polls above the water. Please avoid swimming or approaching the areas around the underwater fans. These devices use powerful currents to move debris and can pose a danger to swimmers.

• Patio Area - Complete with BBQ grill, firepit (firewood is provided) and comfortable
sitting area!
• 4 Kayaks and lifejackets
• 2 Cornhole yard games
• Swimming is not recommended at this time due to the bottom of the lake being murky - we are working on this and hope to have a swimming area soon...

Guest access
You will have full access to our home, laundry area, back yard and patio area. The pier will be yours to use during your stay with us. We encourage you to bring your own boat and/or jet ski's. Friendly reminder: The lake does have a 10 mph speed limit, though Big Barbee Lake may be used for all sports activities.

*The extra garage on the property is not available to guests at this time...

Other things to note
Because of the quiet, peaceful sitting of our lake cottage community, we kindly ask that you are respectful to our neighbors by keep your time at our cottage quiet, no loud parties please!

***The water at the cottage can tend to have a smell and if this is an issue, you are welcome to bring drinking water to use during your stay. There is an extra fridge in the entrance to keep water cold.

We have 2 security cameras on our property....

1 at the entrance of the house (garage entrance door)
1 on the side of the house facing the detached garage.

These will be on for the duration of your stay.

The number of guests that are listed at the time of your reservation is the amount of guests allowed during your stay. Extra guests are not allowed without permission from us in advance!

The lakehouse is perfect! The views from inside and outside are amazing. We enjoyed using the kayaks. We sat by the fire eating smores. Grilled and played cornhole. It was just a great getaway in a great location.

Amazing Property!

My friends from college and I rented this property for a fun getaway weekend to celebrate my friend's engagement! This was the perfect place to relax and sit out by the lake, have a campfire, and even kayak. The house was beautiful and well-furnished as well. We loved our stay here!

Lovely Retreat

Stayed 4 nights the weekend of our daughter’s graduation and loved every minute! Kayaked every day, enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, corn hole games and idyllic weather, but our favorite activity was to sit outside and watch all the wildlife that fed in the lake weeds near the shore line. Saw all kinds of fish, turtles, great blue herons, cranes, and other waterfowl. Loved it and Leon was a great host. Highly recommended!

Amazing Spot

The owners take such great care of the property and have it so well stocked. I mean even normal pantry items like spices! Amazing When you consider the 4 kayaks that come with your stay versus others to rent them!

We spent an enjoyable week here. The view was beautiful, and the house was cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Lila was helpful when we had questions. It was a very nice experience.

Very clean and nice place to stay and in a good location. We had so much fun. There were all we needed. They even left us a bottle of wine and chocolate. The place is very well maintained, cozy and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to others!

Good location, relatively clean, comfortable rooms. I definitely appreciated the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower since I forgot to bring any. The lake access was the primary purpose of my visit to this property. And the pier is lacking, it has no steps, no ladder and does not fully extend to the shore! This was quite a disappointment due to the hassle loading the kids into the kayaks and a mobility restricted parent. Overall the lake view and queit neighborhood made the trip.I would definitely recommend this property and the host was quite pleasant. With that being said I wanted to leave an honest review. If they fixed the pier issue this would have been phenomenal.

Wonderful Stay At The Lake

We spent a wonderful two days at this beautiful cottage on the lake. We could not have asked for a better location or host, who provided a very clean property with a beautiful view and all of the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable. There were two bedrooms with queen beds (perfect for 4), but one bedroom had the bed pushed against the wall making it awkward for a partner to exit the bed, and it was necessary to coordinate the use of the bathroom. Overall though, it was wonderful!

Zen Vibes

Relaxing aesthetic throughout cottage, inside and outside. I felt like I was at a zen vibes spa cottage. The view from the sitting room windows, kitchen, and fire pit/grill area are beautiful. I fell into a deep relaxation. Very comfortable and easy. Very user friendly and stress free. Thank you very much. The boat dock also is fantastic. It has solar lights on both ends, it’s very nice.

Spacious, Comfy, and great water views

Lots of room, nicely appointed. Extensive outdoor space and the private dock is a nice feature. Only downside is that parking with a trailer is pretty daunting. Your best bet would be to go past the driveway, then back in. I should have tried that. There's a great dinner spot in walking distance - The Barbee Hotel Bar & Grill. Lakelife has a great water view, nice outside seating - fine for lunch and drinks, but the dinner fare is not so great.
