We arrived at this property to find a stained dirty shower and dusty furniture. The place clearly wasn't cleaned well. The shower faucet is literally loose in the wall and the shower curtain was moldy. I called the host who tried to tell me that the minerals in thw water stain the tub. Well, I have stayed in the UP many times and not seen this issue. She offered me back half the cleaning fee. We spent ine night inly because we'd driven 7 hours to get to Manistique and were exhausted. Overall a very poor experience. The host didnt even take my calls once she knew we were disappointed.

Perfect for a Quiet Getaway

The property was great. Everything in the listing was spot on. It was perfect for a quiet getaway with family. Check in process could be improved a little, but other than that, place was great.

Serenity

This was a beautiful piece of property! We loved the huge sand bar, nice fire pit, big deck and the sound of the waves so close by! The house is very nice and had everything we needed! I hope we can enjoy this beautiful place next year!

Peaceful and relaxing!

We had a lovely few days and enjoyed the relaxing beauty of Indian Lake. It's a very quiet lake with plenty of options for day trips or just sitting on the deck taking in the view. The house is newly remodeled with ample space for family and friends. We especially loved the beautiful new kitchen with a large island for board games or puzzles!

Amazing!

An absolutely amazing property. The house was clean, view was gorgeous, and the recently renovated kitchen was perfect. Host was very prompt with communications and made us feel at home. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Made some great memories here!

Spectacular lakefront perfect location

The property was immaculately clean with phenomenal lake views from numerous windows! The location is the perfect home base with huge lakefront on Indian Lake (warmer than Lake Michigan and Lake Superior) minutes from Lake Michigan and worth the gorgeous drive to Lake Superior and Pictured Rocks! Property was spacious, comfortable and we loved using the kayaks. Host was very responsive and gave great suggestions on local attractions. Area was safe with lots to do. Kitch-iti-Kipi is only a few minutes away and is truly amazing!

Very private, quiet, relaxing place to stay

First off, Tracee was very easy to work with. She accommodated our request, so we were able to bring the whole family (pets). The property is very private. You don't have to worry about your neighbors witnessing all your activities. The property is very clean, and has everything you need, including washer and dryer. There's a big grill for grilling your favorite food. Indian Lake is peaceful and serene. The water right in front of this property is clean and crystal clear, great for swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, etc. Tracee gave us recommendations of great restaurants and places to visit, and that helped since we had never been to Manistique. Kitch-iti-kipi is a must see. We truly had a very relaxing stay at this place. We highly recommend it.

Maintenance Required

I didn’t receive an email with entry instructions. When I did receive the door code it would not unlock the door. The main shower hot water handle was not functional (think ice cold showers). Master bathroom sink would barely drain. The area was very nice.

We made the guest aware that VRBO software was down and we sent him his welcome message prior to his arrival time. We made sure he had entry and always answered his questions immediately. We were not aware the hot water was not working until the guest told us and was fixed that day. We made sure we handled all of the guests requests right away and made sure they had access prior to reservation.
