We had a wonderful stay in Mentone! The home was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The peaceful setting made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery. Everything we needed was provided, and the host was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Loved the little cabin feel with the hot tub was very relaxing and cozy. Mentone was a very quaint and quiet little town. The waterfall at Desoto State Park was beautiful.

I loved the screened in porch space and proximity to DeSoto falls. I was just 5 min drive to trailhead. Owner was also a good commicator. Great way to enjoy long weekend over spring break.

The cabin was a perfect getaway! Close enough to the shops and restaurants of Mentone to be convenient, far enough away to disconnect from it all. The nearby state park was great for a long nature walk.

This cozy cottage was just what our family of four needed. The location was perfect. The porch swing was amazing, especially with the fall weather! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful with any question we may have had. Check-in was easy as well. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

The home was clean and as described. Loved the porch swing bed and watching movies while relaxing in the crisp fresh air. Went during the holiday season and it was decorated nicely for Christmas. Make sure to plan ahead for food- as she says, the closest grocery store is a drive, and it’ll take a bit to get there. Owner was responsive and worked well with us.

Super cute property and we very much enjoyed the screen porch! Everything was great, but I do wish the check-in time was a little earlier, the bathroom a little bigger, and the porch fan had an adjustable speed.

So glad y’all enjoyed! Check in is published in listing at 4pm and we did letcha get in anytime after 3pm. Sorry it can’t be any earlier. With cleaners having to run between multiple locations and only 5 hrs to wash, dry, make up beds, clean and put away linens that 5hrs goes quick. Bathroom is on the smaller side but the coziness of the cabin is what we love about it! We have a big bathroom at our full time residence so it’s nice to us to just be a little small when we are on the mountain.

This was perfect for our anniversary! The screened in porch is the best and by far our favorite. It had TV and fireplace and right outside the porch is the hot tub. We even had deer show up each evening. Location is close to all the places we wanted to visit.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary this past weekend here and it was perfect! It was the cutest little home ever. Everything you need! We spent the majority of our time on the screened in porch! The swinging daybed was fabulous. We really enjoyed the hot tub. It was amazing to see the deer graze around us. We will definitely be back!

We fell in love with Southern Star the moment we saw it! We have always loved the Mentone area and all the rustic charm of the area. Southern Star has the loft my daughter loves, the wildlife my husband craves, a hot tub I enjoy and Wi-Fi my son apparently can't live without 🤣
