Welcome to the Modern stay ! This English basement apartment is filled with an open floor plan . It’s complete with a full kitchen, dinning area, washer/drying rack, and living room allowing for plenty of room to sit around, enjoy watching TV, or playing a game. There is also a dedicated work space with a desk and a chair.You will find the bathroom on your way to the primary bedroom. The primary bedroom is complete with queen bed, dresser, closet, and full length mirror. It’s located in Lamond Riggs community in DC. Walking distance to a shopping center that features a Walmart ,coffee shop ,Chick-fil-A restaurant,One-life fitness center and Fort-totten metro station.

U Get What U Pay For

I picked this place bc of its proximity to family & friends and for the price and free parking. No decent hotel could give me those things for around $100 per night. The Good: - great communication with owner - quickly accommodated our request when we discovered 2 flat pillows on the bed in shams with no pillow cases available - comfortable bed - free parking -

Clean, tidy, apartment in a quiet area. About 20 minutes fast walk to the metro. Bus stops (K2, K6) three to five minutes on foot. I had a problem with the shower curtain - it fell to the floor before anyone touched it. It doesn't change the fact that I recommend this place. The apartment was worth the price I paid.

Things

I had 2 encounters with a strange man not sure if it was the owner standing at the fence rushed away when I acknowledged him. Oven is out of service that was not in the listing. Updated WiFi info wasn’t updated when we got there but Andrew was very prompt with response about it and info needed. The space was great and clean for the most part the shower not so much but over all was a decent stay! Bed is firm but slept great! It done the job for sure!

There was a mixup between you and the host. We were given 2 different lock codes, so we were outside for approximately 20-30 minutes trying to gain entry. Tell guests everything about the property, lightning, whether the stove is operational or not and that there is a washer, but no dryer.

Clean - good value

The place was simple, very neat and clean. All the soap dispensers, except for hand soap in the bathroom were empty! No paper towels in the kitchen, just an empty cardboard tube! Also, no iron or hair dryer, and no oven (if this is needed). Otherwise, without these amenities, the place was nice. Owner should warn future guests not to lock the bottom door when leaving. We locked ourselves out because we locked the door knob. The neighborhood was just okay. If you have a car and plan to spend time away, this is a great option and good value for the money.
