Incredible place for a family vacation, it truly has it all to make a comfortable and seamless stay for your trip for all ages. Could not recommend enough! The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating to our needs, and stocked the kitchen and house with anything and everything you could think of - especially for those with young children or a chef in the family. Location is amazing as well, and the citrus trees on the property were such an added bonus! Please choose Aki and Laura’s home for your next Hilo stay.

The house was superb! Very clean and space enough for all. It was well stocked with everything you could need. The back patio was perfect for winding down after a beach day or excursion. Would highly recommend.

We booked both the main house and the ohana for a family trip to the Big Island. The entire process was smooth and stress-free, with consistently great communication with the hosts. The property is spacious and exceptionally well-equipped, and the grounds couldn't be more beautiful. With plenty of bedrooms and comfortable common areas, we were able to thoroughly relax and enjoy some much-needed family time. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning - a perfectly normal situation for the local community, but we Arizona desert rats were melting! Fortunately, there were lots of fans throughout the property that were well used and appreciated. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful house, beautiful grounds

We loved our time at the house (+guest house). Everything seems brand new with plenty of space. The outside space is amazing. Can’t wait to come back again.

Perfect Property for Groups

This proprty was in a good location for all of our activities. When we came "home" after a day at the ocean, there was room to spread and relax and the kids had space to run off extra energy. We appreciated all the extra towels and beach equipment, the bar-b-ques, and the well equipped kitchens. This was an excellent vacation.

Spacious and quiet house and yards

A big kitchen makes cooking easy. Big back yard good for Yoga exercise or meditation. We enjoyed the nearby beaches. We also hiked the Green Sand Beach, the Volcano rim trail, the Akaka Falls, Hawaii Tropical Garden. It'd been a very trip for us.

Family vacation with 4 generations

This house was perfect for our family! It is spacious, gorgeous and has no stairs! There were games and puzzles for us to do in the evenings. There were beach chairs, towels and snorkel equipment for our beach days. There was plenty of dishes and cookware for meals together. It was everything we could have dreamed of! It is so beautifully maintained and comfortable! We will stay here again!

Skywalker Family

This place is AMAZING! The pictures don’t do it justice. Lots of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. Beautiful grounds. Love the outdoor shower which I didn’t realize was a feature until we arrived. Good location to East island activities. The kids loved playing football in the yard. Would absolutely recommend. The only criticism is that we would have appreciated electronic locks on the doors as one set of keys was suboptimal.

Beautiful property for family stay

We rented both the main and guest house for our extended family of 10. The property is stunning and amenities & layout were all carefully thought through for a very convenient stay. The kids loved the yard & sports equipment, toys. Fantastic communication with owners. Small note: we did feel the lack of A/C on two very hot days; otherwise, the fans & circulation worked well. Bring earplugs just in case — us city folk could not get used to sleeping to sounds of the tree frogs and birds.

Perfect Big Island Retreat

Our stay at this stunning house on the Big Island was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the property and its surroundings. The gardens offered lush greenery that created a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The porch was perfect for unwinding with a morning coffee or an evening drink. Inside, the house was equally impressive. The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze, even for our group of 9. There were plenty of spaces to gather, whether for lively conversations, game nights, or simply relaxing with a book. The decor was a standout feature—elegant yet inviting, with thoughtful touches that gave the space character and warmth. The location was ideal, offering both privacy and easy access to local attractions and beaches. This house truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t recommend it highly enough.
