Great place to stay! We traveled with another couple and it was perfect. Cabin and property were clean and cozy. It was nice after hiking and exploring the town to come back to a nice kitchen to cook in, and a hot tub and a fire pit to help us relax. Perfect vacation for us!

Chateau by the Lake was the perfect location for our Mother Daughter trip! It is a short drive into Luray for shopping, dining and exploring and is conveniently located near the Shanandoah National Forest for hiking, leaf peeping and sunset views. The hot tub and fire pit were welcome features after a long day outdoors and the game room provided lots of laughs.The host is highly responsive and very kind. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return one day:)

We enjoyed our stay one thing we liked was it had the little things there that someone may have forgotten.. just be careful when driving up from the road it’s a very bumpy ride lol

House was beautiful inside and out. Gameroom was awesome but did not use the hot tub for personal reasons. The house was very easy to find and in a very central location. Close to grocery stores and other stores as needed very convenient.

Everything was nice and clean. Loved the shower and games. Shuffle board needs leveling though. Hot tub was fantastic. The only drawback was the location up the washed out dirt road. Pretty rough on a car or small SUV. Enjoyed our stay there and glad we brought supplies since stores are not nearby.

We had an excellent stay! This is a great place, and we would definitely come back. If you drive a low-clearance vehicle, make sure to pay attention to the details provided in the listing description. This was a beautiful place in a beautiful setting!

This property was everything it was advertised to be. The house was beautifully updated. The game room was so much fun! The communication with the hosts was by far the best I’ve experienced. They were extremely accommodating as our plans were changed. If I ever make it back to this area I would definitely stay with these hosts and this property again!

Loved our stay here- the lake view was awesome and the host thought of everything. We had linens, towels, hand soap, toilet paper, coffee, etc. Truly a great stay and props to the host- you are top notch in hospitality! Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property! The descriptions and pictures are 100% accurate. The cottage appears to be completely (and possibly recently) refurbished as everything was up to date, modern and clean. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was comfortable and the game room was fun. Whilevwe didn't get to use the hot tub, it's in a perfect place to enjoy the view from the lower deck. Everything we wanted to do and was close by- hiking in Shenandoah, Skyline Drive, kayaking and Luray Caverns. The town of Luray is quaint with some great coffee shops and restaurants. Cher's welcome message and directions were perfect.

Weekend Getaway

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Home was beautiful and very relaxing. Host was very attentive and available. Would definitely stay again, such an amazing weekend we will remember forever :)

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful stay. Any questions or concerns we had the host answered immediately. House was very clean and the game room was so nostalgic. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend.

This is a clean and well-appointed property in a beautiful, quiet location conveniently located near many local attractions. The game room was great, and the hot tub was wonderful. We will be back!

Fabulous stay at Lake Chateau! Booked a midweek stay for a change of scenery and this property was perfect for me and my partner. So many thoughtful touches from the host - they definitely tried to think of any and everything you may need. Much appreciated! Every light switch, every remote control, button and knob was clearly marked so that there was no confusion. We never needed to reach out to the host for anything. Note for travelers - the driveway up to the propery is very steep and precarious. You should make sure you have everything you need when you get there (unless you're in a truck or SUV) as the location is not conducive for a bunch of running in and out to the store.

The boys loved the game room

My boys loved the game room downstairs. The place is cute, clean and convenient for everything we planned. Definitely recommend staying here.
