Huge house with tons of room

  • 5 of 5

Four families stayed at the landing and the bungalow next door. There was plenty of room and bathrooms for each of us to have our own space. The canal that the house is on is quiet and pretty. We floated and enjoyed the quiet. Wish there were fish to catch but alas, maybe next time. Bathrooms were great, especially the master bath. It is just gorgeous. This was our 2nd year we stayed to celebrate the holiday. Everyone enjoyed it so much that more of our adult children are coming so we most likely have grown out of the house, but if not, we will be back. We loved the boat slips, had one pontoon and one jetski. That made it easy to keep the boats at the house. Only one negative was the ice maker at the awesome bar was not working. A little let down since we loved it so much the year before. But all in all, a great house, lots of room, and a good value. Thank you for another great stay!!

pics do not do this one justice!

  • 5 of 5

First off if at all possible do not try to find this neat little hideaway in the dark! When it gets dark out there, you cannot see a thing! Now to the good stuff...

While I do wish that communication prior to and on arrival had been a bit easier, I understand that the management was having some difficulties having nothing to do with the property during that time so, no fault of their own.

I would have only one complaint about the property itself and that was the lack of working outside lights. Only one or two were functioning in back and none in the front. That made coming and going at night quite difficult as well as just being out and socializing an impossibility.

Aside from that the place was simply breathtaking! So much bigger than we anticipated all of our adult kids were able to have their own space. It was great for our first experience as a family with both his and mine together for initial introductions. They could be together or apart as they chose. Our grandaughter caught her first fish... and her 15th!! our youngest grandaughter was able to have plenty of space for toddling around being a new walker. Our boys (men) were able to play their game systems without taking up the TV from the kids. And after some exploration and locating things the kitchen was a joy to cook in and socialize in for us girls! The outdoor ding and cooking area was also well used and enjoyed.

But the most impressive part for Steve and I at least was the Master Bath!! Had the kids not arrived when they did, we may have locked ourselves away in there and never come out!!! Amazing is not a great enough word to use... neither is Fantastic, or Phenomenal, or Astounding! The pix of the bathroom are a HUGE understatement to say the least. We now have a model to aspire to in the home we plan to build in the not to far future.

The only final suggestion I would make is to have an option, as time and finances allow, to have the home decorated for the occasion it is being rented for. It would have allowed us to spend more time with the grandchildren and kids to not have to put up and take down Christmas decorations once we had arrived and before we checked out. We had to arrive a day in advance to put up some semblance of holiday decor, and having to check out so early meant we had no time for any meaningful goodbyes to them since we were frantically trying to get things undecorated before check out. I would not have had a problem paying 100 or so to have at least a tree putin

Owner's Response: This is truly a breathtaking property on a quiet secluded section of beautiful Lake LBJ. Pictures really don't do it justice but with great guest reviews such as yours we think people get the message, thank you so much. The burnt out bulbs will be taken care of promptly and again thanks for that heads up because sometimes those items are easy to overlook without someone bringing them to our attention. We only wish you would have given us a call when you first noticed the issue and we would have been more than happy to come right over and address right away. We are a local management service and put an emphasis on client satisfaction. Crestwood Landing has set the bar high when it comes to vacation rentals in the area. Spread the word!

Beautiful, spacious rental

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a family getaway with 4 couples and kids. The layout was perfect, offering privacy and each bedroom has its own bathroom. There was a powder bath for guests. The kitchen and living room space is open and perfect for entertaining a large group. The house is a lot larger in person than it appears in photos. The lawn was huge and there are 2 dining areas on the deck, along with a tv. The home was very clean and high end. Couldn't be happier!

Family fun of 12

  • 5 of 5

House is beautiful and big (brand new). Very clean and well stock. Owner is very responsive.

Our party consisted of 7 adults and 5 teenage boys aging from 13-20. Enough room for all of us.

I would bring blankets and extra sheets. We needed to have a kid sleep on the couch and there were no extra sheets or blankets.

Draw back was there is not a fire pit, as we wanted to make s'mores. We sat outside often and played lots of games which we brought from home. And there is no paddle boats or khakis to use on the property. patio is very large and roomy that we ate outside in the mornings. The size of this house it would have been nice to have two coffee pots, since we have 6 coffee drinkers and the pot would take awhile to make.

Great house for multiple families and all ages of kids!

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to a place to celebrate the start of summer for the kids and this was perfect! This home is absolutely beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. The layout makes it ideal for multiple families (we had three, six adults & eight kids). The boat dock and boat lift on property were extremely convenient. The yard was well kept and a great place for the kids to play while the adults relaxed on the upstairs patio. The only drawback was the channel water was not suitable for swimming. It was extremely shallow and due to the location on the channel the water was somewhat stagnate, but it was perfect for fishing and looking for turtles. We're already talking about rebooking for next year!
