🦊 Foxfire – A Luxury Safari Tent for Two Couples

When the world gets a little too loud, Foxfire offers an easy escape—birdsong in the trees, a crackling fire, and a private hot tub under the stars. With two private king suites, it’s designed for two couples or a relaxed double-date getaway, within walking distance to two more double-suite tents, Serengeti and Swallowtail for larger groups who want to stay close.

Inside, the space blends rustic and refined—leather seating, patterned chairs, and Smart TV's for slow evenings. The fully equipped kitchen stands out with bright red cabinetry, gray tile, granite countertops, and stainless appliances, with dining indoors or out on the deck. Each king suite includes plush bedding, a Smart TV, and a private ensuite bath with a walk-in shower and warm, spa-like finishes—one featuring a barnwood king bed, the other an Amish handcrafted log king bed.

Outdoors, enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, grill, and deck seating, along with a unique teak dining table—perfect for coffee at sunrise or long, relaxed dinners under the trees. You may even spot deer or turkeys passing by.

Its was clean and very cozy . Great location right next to the entrance of the park and only 15 min from Byrson downtown.

We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away celebrating our 1st anniversary. The home is so unique and offers a different escape in to the mountains. You feel as if you’re sitting in the tree tops when you’re relaxing on the outdoor recliners or enjoying the hot tub. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the colorful trees was exactly what we needed. The home was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and despite the fact that it was a tent and the temps at night were in the 40s we were very comfortable day and night. The owner was very responsive with any questions as well! There are steps going down to the tent that would be challenging for someone with any sort of issues walking/climbing but otherwise the location and travel was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back!

After 34 years in the rental industry—and with the steady support of my husband, Mike—I chose to simplify life and pour my heart into building a peaceful, one-of-a-kind retreat in Bryson City, NC. Just half a mile from the Deep Creek entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Elk Hollow Resort is truly my slice of paradise. With quiet surroundings, a gentle stream, hardwood trees, and frequent visits from wild turkeys and deer, it's a place that continuously feeds the soul.

Creating a warm, welcoming guest experience is my top priority. I want every visitor to feel relaxed, safe, and completely at home—with more to do than they have time for, and more fun than they ever expected!

I’m happiest outdoors and cherish time with my two children, six wonderful grandchildren, and lifelong friends. We’ve made countless special memories in the mountains, and I hope you will too.

Although I love exploring new places, my favorite moments are still found at home—entertaining, connecting, and enjoying the simple joy of time well spent with loved ones.
