Great place to stay. Walking distance to CMU Phipps and museums. Love the charm mixed with updates in the house. Would stay here again.

The home was presented exactly as advertised and was located perfectly for our stay. Our host was responsive and we all enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again in the future. The neighbor man across the street was so very kind as well which was an added bonus!

Location is great for Pitt, CMU, Shadyside access. 5 adults slept very comfortably with lots of space in the house. Very clean and nicely decorated. Cozy vibe. Seating space in the living room could have been better but by far not a big deal if you don’t plan to be in front of tv as a group. Great comms with host. Would stay again.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and overall we’re satisfied with the house. It’s an older home so you’ll experience the squeaky floors, water pressure issues, etc. but nothing that impacted our stay too much. However, it had snowed a couple days before our arrival and the steep stairs to the front door were very slick with frozen over snow. After going up and down a couple times, it felt dangerous. I reached out to the management company to see if they had de-icer or salt on site and they did not which is a little weird. They instead told me to “pour hot water on the stairs” and anyone who has experience with decent winters know that’s about the dumbest thing to tell someone to do given it was getting above freezing downpour entire stay. We ended up making a run to Home Depot and bought our own de-icer so we could maneuver the stairs with less stress. There was also a broken outlet in the upstairs bathroom and I reported that the last time we stayed there in August, but it had not been addressed. The management company said they would try to get someone out, but then never followed up. Again, not a major issue, but does speak to the effectiveness of the management company. All in all, we likely will boom again for its location and the space is comfortable and uniquely decorated. We especially enjoyed the vinyl player and the wide array of vinyls! It made the stay feel more special.

We really appreciate you coming back for a second stay and taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. Older homes definitely come with their quirks, and we’re glad those didn’t take away from your overall comfort or enjoyment of the space. That said, you’re absolutely right to call out the stairs and the winter conditions. Having slick, icy steps is stressful and not something guests should have to problem solve on their own. We hear you loud and clear on the de-icer situation and the response you received, and that feedback has been shared so it can be handled better going forward. Same goes for the outlet in the upstairs bathroom. Since it was previously reported, it should have been addressed, and we understand why that was frustrating. We’re really glad the location, layout, and character of the home still made it a place you’d consider booking again. The record player and vinyl collection are special touches we love too, so it’s great to hear they added to the experience. Thanks again for your honesty and for giving the place another shot. We hope the next visit is smoother all around.
