Overall, we enjoyed our stay and there were several things we really appreciated, but there are a few items future guests may want to know. The biggest issue for us was the beds. The king bed in the primary bedroom and the mattresses in the bedroom with the two beds were extremely firm. If you prefer a very firm mattress, this may be a plus, but for us they felt almost like sleeping on the floor and made it difficult to get comfortable. The property is advertised as beachfront, but we’d describe it as more beachside. While the complex has beach access, this particular unit sits off to the side of the building. The view overlooks the pool, and the beach view is partially obstructed by another unit’s balcony and landscaping. We also noticed that several of the nonstick (Teflon) cooking pans have peeling coatings and should probably be replaced for guest safety. On the positive side, the beach equipment was excellent. There were plenty of beach chairs, a wagon, a cooler, beach toys, and one working beach umbrella, which made our beach days much easier. The location on Holmes Beach is fantastic—close to restaurants, shopping, and other attractions, while still being convenient to the beach. Finally, communication with the owner was excellent. They were responsive, friendly, and easy to work with throughout our stay.
