Smelled like smoke

We stayed here with three adults and three pre teens. The moment we first walked in we were welcomed with a strong smell of cigarette smoke and weed. The smell didn’t subside. Not sure if people had smoked in the unit or if the downstairs or upstairs tenants were constantly smoking. Some rooms were worse than others. The pillows smelled deeply of smoke so it wasn’t just a one time incident. The first night people got headaches. We messaged the host but she was adamant that it was a non smoking house. She mentioned sending someone to check it out but never did. We tried to get out of it after the first night but without a refund it would’ve been too expensive to go somewhere else. If you don’t like the smell of smoke and weed, don’t stay here :) Also the neighborhood is quite sketchy and SO loud at night. Between cars and people shouting outside around at 2am. It’s a little bit out of the city so we figured it wouldn’t be as loud as it was.

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened that your experience was less than satisfactory, we apologize. Nevertheless we thank you for providing us with feedback as we work to always make improvements to provide an exceptional experience to our guests. All of our properties are non smoking. We did reply to your message and told you we were going to send someone to investigate right away what’s happening but unfortunately you were unavailable when someone came. We are always working to improve our guests experience and we have a zero tolerance for smoking. I hope you will give us another chance and get the kind of great service we are known for.
