The unique, charming Potter's Cottage is the private and separate half of a 120 year old limestone house. It is located in a country-like setting just 4 blocks from Marketplatz on Main Street. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other has two twin beds. One room is 4 steps up, the other 9 steps down from the comfortable living room. Walk through the private entrance into a living room filled with art. Two outdoor seating areas, one with a chiminea, offer a lovely setting to enjoy the drier, cooler weather of the Texas Hill Country. The patios are fenced as this is a pet friendly home away from home.
Finn, the owner of this house is an award winning potter. The art- filled rooms reflect her love of beauty, simplicity and the hand made.
You'll enjoy a quiet stay here, reminiscent of simpler times in a small Texas town.

'While growing up in San Antonio, I had often visited the Hill Country as a child. Even then, I knew that some day, some way, I would live there. When my son was 4 years old, that opportunity came and we moved here to this very special small town with its wonderful community.'
This antique and art filled property, is a well cared for, family home that has in the past, sheltered many people in a loving way. The sun bleached limestone walls give this house it's rightful sense of place in the Texas Hill Country.
We had a lovely time here. This was our first visit to Fredericksburg and will remember it fondly. We really enjoyed sitting in the backyard with the fire going at night. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfy stay. Zoey loved being able to roam around your fenced yard.
Thank you so much. Have a lovely Holiday! We will be back again!
We spent Easter weekend at the cottage! We had an excellent stay! Family of four and our dog Charlie! We had all we needed! The yard is beautiful and had ample space for the kids and dog to run around and explore. The cottage was clean, quaint, and decorated beautifully! Thanks Finn!
Very much enjoyed our stay at the Potter's Cottage. It is very spacious for 2 and the kitchen was nicely stocked for our needs during our three day stay. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very large. The shower is an old clawfoot tub. The lounge area has a pleasing couch, chairs, and tv. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, where we were able to dine and have a nighttime fire in the chimnea. It is conveniently located near town and we would certainly stay here again. Thanks!
We enjoyed staying here! It was very relaxing and had a lot of personality! The yard was great for our 2 dogs.
Owner upset and we were too when we thought we were renting the whole cottage but got there and only had 2 bedrooms and I bath with no kitchen attached to owners own home. Had to find accommodations at almost 5 pm on a Friday and Vacasa Property Management saved us by placing us in a small home. Expensive lesson though original owner was good enough to refund 1/2 of the charges.
We were a party of 3 women so having 2 bedrooms(with 3 beds) was very nice.
The bathroom was very large but the sink and mirror vanity was too small for more than one to use at a time.
We arrived at dark and the property was not well lit. But once inside we were delighted with the decor of the spacious rooms.
Overall, we were very happy with our weekend stay just blocks away from downtown Fredericksburg.
