The retreat was delightful! Cozy, comfortable and quiet. We were walking distance to the historic downtown with the shops and restuarants. We enjoyed the hot tub after exploring Enchanted Rock and Los Maples State Park. We'll definately stay again when we're in the area.

Short and sweet stay!

We arrived in a Sunday evening and left early Tuesday morning so only there for one full day. Communication about check-in was good and easy to follow. We stayed in the “Geese on Gibbons” unit and it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was just a kitchenette but everything you need for just breakfast. The bathroom has glass French doors so only stay here with someone you are really comfortable with. Only negatives but not a deal for us were the swimming pool needed a good scrub and I wish I had known how to turnoff our porch light. Cute unit in great location so I would stay here again.

Very Nice

Had trouble finding it - don't enter "absolute charm" in your maps because it will take you to the business office and not where the cottages are. Owners - may want to highlight the actual cottage locations better in the messages and emails - I know it's in there but didn't dawn on me there were 2 addresses floating around. The AC unit was loud (other people we were with also noticed that so it wasn't just our room) but worked good. Great location, new, clean and pool was great.

Super great place to stay. Our cottage was a little closer to the pool area than what it looked like on the website, but still a great stay! I will definitely be staying here again!

Cozy Cottage

We loved everything it was comfortable had everything we needed. However the air conditioner is way too loud I had ear plugs in and still couldn't sleep while it was on. The bathroom and towels were first class. Very comfy bed and pillows. A night light in bathroom would have been helpful and maybe not see thru doors for those of us not with a partner. Very nice decorative feeling.

This location made for a wonderful weekend escape. I stayed in a room conveniently situated next to the pool. Though compact, the room felt spacious inside, was very clean, and had everything needed for a quiet, relaxing stay.The only minor drawback was the lack of coffee filters and the outdated coffee condiments.The property is within walking distance of downtown and about a 20-minute drive from Enchanted Rock. During the visit, the town was hosting a lively festival featuring car shows, pioneer museums, and historic sites like the old jail and the original Sunday homes and churches and more. The local shops proudly showcase the town’s German heritage, complemented by live music, dancing, and a vibrant, festive atmosphere. It was a memorable and enjoyable experience overall.

Perfect place to stay!

The location was enough off of the major area of Main Street that it was quiet and not busy, but close enough you could walk if you wanted! Extremely clean and the pool and hot tub was a major perk. Highly recommend for a couples weekend or if having a girls weekend and don't mind sharing a King bed!

Prime location

We were close to everything.. property was clean, the one thing I would suggest you change, advise people the bath soap is worthless, and bring bottle water, the water taste awful.

Long weekend runaway

It was ny hub's bday sobwe ventured down to Fredricksburg. The location is excellent and close to all the fun spots in town but far enough away to have a quiet evening. The accomodations were clean and comfortable.

Beautiful stay

Beautiful stay in a cozy cabin for our anniversary. We loved the location and the amenities. Hot tub was perfect at night and we enjoyed the kitchenette in room and getting cozy by the fireplace was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Fun stay at the cutest Vrbo -Geese on the Gibbon

Loved this place, very cutely decorated. Includes kitchen, fireplace, pool & hot tube/ shared. Walk to most everything with a very darling town.

Lovely, cozy, and quiet

Loved this cozy little room. LOVED the electric fireplace and the 2 recliners in front if it and the TV. It had all the amenities we needed for a 4 day stay, and a quick drive to main street shops and restaurants. We were a bit disappointed the hot tub was not working, but it was pretty cold while we were there so I get it...
