Fantastic property. The location is perfect, easily walkable to shops and restaurants. It was incredibly clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Great modern remodel. Internet was fast. Owner was very responsive. Will stay there again. Five stars.
We were very pleased with the home and location! Very clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Our host was very responsive and helpful. 10 out of 10! We would definitely stay there again!
Clean cozy contemporary retreat within easy walking distance of everything the town has to offer. 3 minute drive to nature center and easy walking trails. Perfect getaway.
Absolutely adorable cabin! The perfect place to luxuriate in nature. Cooking a gourmet dinner is so easy with the well equipped kitchen. Living room and bedrooms are so cozy! And I even had my own yoga studio. A short walk into town for music, restaurants and wine. We will be back and stay even longer!
We absolutely loved our stay at The Hobbit House! The home is ideally located - close to everything you need, far enough from busier streets so that it's quiet. The photos are mostly accurate -- many times, when you rent a place, you find that it's not quite what you saw in the photos (a bit like online dating, I hear...) but this was definitely a situation where we weren't disappointed. There was maybe one photo that was confusing (suggested that there was a working indoor sauna but in reality it is a storage room as of April 2026). The home is adequately stocked, has a smart TV (if you want that) and decent wifi downstairs (upstairs was a bit spotty). The rooms are comfortable and clean. The water in the shower gets hot and has good pressure. The fireplace is the big sell for us. Definitely buy wood (we left some for the next guests after us) at wood vendors because the grocery store wood is soft and burns up quickly. The only thing I felt I missed was window dressing for the kitchen area. At night, you don't have much privacy on that side of the house so if I were to stay there alone, I may feel less comfortable. I rarely feel sad when I leave a rental but I was sad to go. I'd definitely recommend staying here and will plan to return!
Loved this beautiful house and the cozy and chic decor. quick getaway with the pups for my birthday and it was the best. Close to town, yet quiet and beautiful paths for walking the dogs and getting some fresh air!
My adult daughter, her dog and I stayed for three nights. The cabin was perfect: clean, comfortable and well stocked. Great location. We walked almost everwhere. We had a chance to meet the owners while there. They are very nice. We'bdefinatebookbook again

Thanks Jeff! We are happy you all enjoyed your stay. Come see us again!
The process in getting th place was very easy… the Hobbit House is very close to the village and easy an easy walk to get town. The place was cute and my daughter loved the spiral staircase though for less fit people like us take the outside steps…lol… the place was clean and looks newly decorated. I would visit again. A great place to visit again.
The cabin was immaculate and recently renovated. The cabin was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the evening.
The property doesn't feel very close to town, but in fact it is only a 5 minute walk to the town center.
For those with mobility issues be aware that the spiral staircase to reach the bedrooms is both tight and steep.
We were so happy to find that this property was walking distance to everything. We parked and then didn't get back in the car until we headed home. EVERYTHING was so close. The only obstacle for us was using the winding stairs to get upstairs. It was very hard for us as both of us are healing from knee issues. The kitchen was well stocked and even though it says a Keurig coffee pot, it's a combo pot, so you can brew a pot of coffee if you want. (Important to us!) If you love your down pillow, bring it. The property was super quiet, and we appreciated that, especially in the morning when we sat outside to drink our coffee. The AC splits worked great! Mark was quick to respond to our questions and that, too, was appreciated.
From the start comms with Mark were great! The locations and parking is great. The unit was recently remodeled and they did really nice choices with material, quality of work, and art/things! Great fireplace with easy start materials supplied and the t.v. has Spectrum TV and some other channels like Netflix, Amazon, etc. The kitchen is very nicely stocked with everything to make coffee to make full meals if you want to with a spacious deck in back with a bbq. The only challenge for us (and the dog) was the beautiful spiral staircase but as a back up there is an outside staircase. They own three units and we are looking forward to trying out the larger one next time!
