Why they chose this property
Lake Cottage is perched on the shoreline of Mirror Lake with private lake access for swimming, launching canoes/kayaks from a private dock to cruise around the lake or cheering on the starting swim segment of the yearly Iron Man races from a private property. Enjoy time around a lakeside firepit while gazing on the star-filled skies and the lights from the backside of Main Street on the other side of the lake. Guests are able to enjoy a park and walk vacation at Lake Cottage. Take a leisurely stroll to do a bit of Main Street shopping, take in a movie at the historic theater building, dine in a wide variety of eateries, enjoy summer park concerts and activities for every season, visit a local pub, bring the kids to the playground at the public beach, engage in a game of tennis on the public courts or visit the Olympic venues. There is lots more to do within this quaint Village on a year round basis that is all within an easy walking distance and considered "part of the neighborhood".
What makes this property unique
This park and walk property is ideally situated on the shoreline of Mirror Lake with private waterfront access for swimming or using one of the kayaks to cruise around the lake. The spacious comfortable home is also only a short scenic walk along the lakeside to reach a marina on Lake Placid with a public boat launch for motor boats and the Village Main Street with a year round variety of activity and fun things to do! Walk to several parks, public beach with playground and tennis courts, toboggan slide, Olympic Arenas and so much more! In wintertime when the lake freezes over the town clears a path around the edges of the lake, so be sure to bring along your ice skates! Then return to relax at home outdoors in the fresh Adirondack air with the lake in front of you and the stars above you or indoors in warm comfort while gazing on the twinkling lights across the lake on Main Street!
