We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakehouse. It was more than we expected. The fully stocked kitchen was amazing. We even made a birthday cake & had everything we needed. The bedrooms are extra large & had plenty of bathrooms. We were looking for a place to spend a long weekend together with our 4 children & their families. This was perfect for us. There were plenty of indoor activities when it rained. The kayaks were a favorite for my grandchildren & myself. Communication with our host was easy. We hope to do this again next year!

Overall wonderful property! Very well appointed, everything you need to cook, comfortable beds, lots of space. Fifteen adults were very comfortable during a COLD long weekend. Lots of details made our visit more comfortable and enjoyable: games, movies, kitchen staples, plenty of pillows and blankets for everyone. We didn't spend a lot of time outside (because it was so cold) but there are numerous well maintained outdoor spaces and direct access to the lake. Everyone loved this property and we would definitely stay again!

Lake Forest Lodge is an amazing property and Jared and Abby were great hosts. The property itself was everything it looked like in the pictures and more. My family and I had a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back. The property was clean and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything could ask for and want. It made cooking for a group a breeze. They even included coffee and had tons of dishes for adults and children, a highchair and a playyard for our family members with young children. They had so many fun games inside and outside the house with direct water access and kayak use. We couldn't have asked for a better house. The house is beautiful and updated and easily fit our family. I really can't say enough good things about this property. I would book this property again in a heartbeat.

Crochet Getaway

Our group of online strangers met and became lifelong friends at this lovely rental. It was amazingly stocked. I've never stayed at such a well stocked rental that had all the amenities plus so many disposable things that many rentals do not provide..It was so very generous!!

Gorgeous Lake Home

The home exceeded our expectations. Spacious and beautifully decorated with every amenity provided. Gorgeous views right on the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with all supplies provided. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of room for our whole party. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and fire pit. Jared and Ashley were very communicative and attentive to our every need. Beautiful Home

Overall, my stay at this cabin was great. The house was absolutely amazing. It looked just as it did in the pictures online and felt even bigger. Despite getting unlucky with the rain, we were able to enjoy our stay very much. The porch provided a nice dry place to sit by the fire and watch the rain. The owners were very nice and quick to respond to any necessary communication. Checkin and checkout were both very simple. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to get out to the countryside for a weekend.

They thought of everything!

You get to the lodge along a long, curvy road that transports you to another place. By the time you arrive, you've left the hustle and bustle of the city. While the cell coverage isn't great, the wifi works perfectly, so you can still stay as connected as you'd like. I have never stayed in a rental that was so well stocked! They thought of everything: spices, dog treats, a wide choice of cookware and servingware, extra blankets, and so much more. It's all there! The kitchenette is also well stocked and includes another refrigerator, so there's plenty of space to store food. The main kitchen's wine cooler allows cold drink storage without using refrigerator space. The place is absolutely beautiful! It's well decorated and so comfortable. The dining table is large enough to seat 12, with more seating around the island in the main kitchen. There is comfortable seating throughout the lodge with so many great places to curl up with a good book. There are games and puzzles throughout the lodge. There are outdoor games on the screen porch, including a great ax throwing game which was a lot of fun. There is a charcoal grill (charcoal included) and a large gas grill on the balcony close to the kitchen. There are decks and balconies across the back that lead down to the river. The edge of the river is rocky, but easily navigated down to the water to enjoy fishing (poles on the screen porch). We enjoyed our time there with three generations of family, and can't wait to go back!
