Perfect Retreat Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment I stepped onto the grounds of this beautiful garden site I started breathing a little deeper and immediately felt at home. John and Lissa have created an environment, both inside and outside of the cottage that feel nothing short of a warm hug. I came hoping for a much needed personal retreat and that is what I experienced in every way. I can't wait to return!

Beautiful, quiet retreat near the ocean

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful week at this special place. After a day of hiking and exploring the area (don't miss the elephant seals north of Cambria), it was sweet to return and hang out on the deck watching the hummingbirds, bluebirds and deer, or in the cozy window seats, reading or napping! Cambria is a cute town with very kind people, and we enjoyed Cayucos Beach and Paso Robles as well. John and Lissa had provided everything we needed for a memorable vacation, including spring water, wine, chocolates and locally handmade soaps and lotions. Thank you for making our first to the central coast extra special! We will definitely return to this adorable 'fairy cottage' on the hill.

We really enjoyed the little cottage! The owners left a very nice note and a bottle of wine in celebration of our anniversary.

Lovely stay near wine country

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay on the way thru town on the way to Big Sur. There was a bottle of local wine waiting for us along with organic apples, coffee, cream, tea, bottled water etc. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils and spices needed for someone to stay in and just enjoy the view from the window seating. The garden view was lovely with visiting deer.

In the morning we walked along the ocean boardwalk and in the afternoon visited Hearst Castle and a winery. The wineries, and Cambria had several dining options. Paso Robles was a 20-25 minute drive with a couple of restaurants that we enjoyed, especially Thomas Hill Organics with a changing menu sourced from a local farm.

Perfect for a two night stay!
