We had a great stay in Shingletown! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and getting away from the busyness. Everything we needed was provided, and the host was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, low-stress getaway.
Hi! Overall, it was a wonderful location and as described. Very cute and homey, the large projection tv is really a nice feature for the evening. There were sufficient cooking items and we didn't really need a microwave, understood with a small kitchen. Heating was perfect, supplies and towels, etc, clean and provided. A few notes for the hosts: Yes, we could have called, but we didn't want to be disturbed, so that's on us. The queen bed was very uncomfortable unsupportive and made of soft foam and worse yet, a foam topper. We removed the topper and it was better, the bed itself needs to be levelled. There were a few other items that I would call attention to. There was a brown foam in the hot tub that was all around the perimeter (not caused by us) just as we turned the jets on, it seemed to get worse. Lastly, the sofa leg had been stripped out of it's base and simply put back in place and over time, it was never repaired. When my partner sat down on the couch, it nearly broke. He is a handyman and put it back in place but it is not secure. Video games? Fun idea, but everything on that needs to be tightened and maintained properly. We unplugged it because we were afraid of damaging it further. Some basic TLC on the wear and tear over time will solve a lot if not all of these issues.
