About Teresa Foster

We are Orlando residents until we retire to our beloved St. Pete.

Teresa Foster purchased this house in 2009

Why Teresa Foster chose Coquina Key

The tropical weather is 'Chamber of Commerce' beautiful and we can grow fragile exotic plants without worry of losing them to frost every winter.

What makes this house unique

Every Saturday morning, we enjoy riding the bikes to the market for fresh organics. It is a 1.2 mile loop around the bayou...perfect for evening strolls.

A Convenient Location For St. Petersburg Activities

  • 4 of 5

The Bayou House is conveniently located on Coquina Key on the southeast corner of St. Petersburg. The house has ample space for the family with three nicely sized bedrooms, two full baths, kitchen and living room, Additionally there is a large screened in lanai with table and chairs that provides a pleasant area for outdoor meals or a simple cup of coffee. The backyard is very deep, filled with many trees and provides a nice view of the water. From this Coquina Key location it is an easy commute to many of the local area beaches; to the many restaurants and shopping in downtown St. Pete, as well as easy access to Tampa, Bradenton, Sarasota and Siesta Key , just to name a few. And, on days when traveling is not in the plans, I found it a pleasant escape to pull up a chair by the water and enjoy the tranquility of it all while getting some sun and watching the water fowl flying, diving and at times stopping by to visit. This house in totally furnished and includes all the basic necessities including towels and sheets, kitchen appliances, cookware, utensils and dishes, etc. The owners, Teresa and Randy, are extremely nice and easy to deal with. They are ready and eager to accommodate your needs.

Great vacation home on the bayou. Yard, full of fruit trees, goes right back to the water. Quiet neighborhood for walking, riding bikes. Three nice size bedrooms. Gracious hosts supply everything you need.

Enjoyed our month stay. Seeing the dolphins, and an occasional ray swim by.

  • 4 of 5

This was our first time in St. Petersburg, FL enjoyed the area only a 15 drive to St Pete beaches. The house was spacious and the yard large view of the dock and bayou were great. The screened porch was an added bonus. New washer and dryer was good I wish the other appliances and furniture were a little newer too. Plenty of linens, kitchen utensils, owners Teresa and Randy were very responsive to requests.

Unpack! Relax! Enjoy!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a fantastic one month stay on Coquina Key, and we very much enjoyed our runaway from the nasty, unrelenting winter. The house was very clean and well equipped with evrything we needed. A fully furnished kitchen and outdoor grill made cooking, staying in and entertaining a pleasure. We also had some GREAT dinners at nearby local restaurants in St. Petersburg and the St. Pete Beach area. (Chattaways in St. Petersburg was one of our favorites. The food is great, reasonable, and the dining experience is fun.)

The large, fenced in yard was perfect for our small dog, and being right on the water was so relaxing. We spent many evenings on the private dock, enjoying a nice bottle of wine, watching a beautiful sunset, AND...we were lucky enough to see dolphins swim by numerous times.

The screened porch overlooking the back yard and water is another great spot to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast or a grilled dinner and a card or board game afterwards. Books and games are provided by the owners if you forget to bring yours.

The bikes, beach chairs and umbrella are a great idea and a nice touch. These owners have thought of everything! They are friendly and extremely easy to communicate with. They have put a lot of consideration into furnishing this home and have made it your home away from home!

This was our second stay at this home and we enjoyed it even more the second time. We would certainly recommend this property to family and friends. Many thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely, comfortable home with us.

Coffee on the dock! A great way to start your day!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely waterfront home. It is very comfortable and close to everything. We loved spending time on the dock first thing in the morning drinking coffee and then watching the sunsets with a glass of wine in the evenings! We also enjoyed using the cruiser bikes to tour the neighbourhood most afternoons before dinner. There is a BBQ included so we often made our dinner at home and then drive 4 minutes to downtown St. Petersburg to walk around and see the nightlife. Our dog Joy loved the freedom of having her own fenced in yard. If you are looking for a quiet waterfront home, close to everything, this is the place. The owners are very easy to deal with and were very helpful if we needed anything. Thank you for letting us enjoy your Coquina Key home!

Good Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Description and photos were accurate, house clean and well-maintained, the owners were very friendly, accommodating, helpful in answering questions or concerns, and had neighborhood friends who came to take care of the lawn, etc. if owners not available to come themselves. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives, however children and/or pets should be watched closely because of the open water. Because of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge nearby, it was convenient for us and friends who live in FL to often get together with "relatively" little traffic and hassles, and many of St. Pete's attractions were within 5 miles. The rental is in a residential area with a lot of space for walking and riding bikes (including 1.2 miles around the Bayou where house is located, and far beyond). There was a small but convenient shopping area about 1 block away. Some favorite things: Farmers Market every Saturday; The Pier; Dali Museum; Chihuly Collection; the Fourth Street Shrimp Store Restaurant and many others in St. Pete (especially the ones which let us have our dog with us at the outdoor tables); and there were many other things of interest in St. Pete, nearby cities, beaches, etc. which we will explore the next time around when time is on our side again.
