You mentioned no shoes in the house but after that 5 minutes in the house, our feet was black. Very responsive host. We really enjoyed the weekend getaway. Thank you very much.

Use of the hot tub, sauna, and pool was a bonus! Keurig coffee machine was convenient. Well equipped with all the basic necessities.

Stephen was an amazing guest. His communication was exceptional and his patience was phenomenal. He made the experience feel like a partnership because he was very kind and understanding of any issue . The house was kept nice and clean, and he had a deep respect for my place. To all of the Host who are looking for a guest who will go out of their way to communicate, treat your place as their own and be kind and patient, then Stephen meets all of those standards.

Rob was an amazing guest. He was very patient with the process and had excellent communication. He treated our place as his own and would always welcome him and his family.

Multiple issues. Biggest issue was they advertised hot tub and pool. Unfortunately you had the be resident with an app to access. When I notified the host they said they would reach out to property management to get us access to the app. After waiting most of the day for a response I had to again reach out to find out what the deal was. He said he sent an email. He never bothered to call property management, which would’ve been the quick solution. We were there for two nights and never got access to the pool or hot tub. When I asked for a partial refund since we paid more so we could have a pool/hot tub he went radio silent. Other issues were ants in both bathrooms and bedrooms; white power residue all over the bathroom sinks and toilets, WiFi modem had a short in it so we had to keep messing with it to keep the TVs going, one bathtub was clogged and debris came up the drain when we attempted to fill it. We tried to take bath in other bathroom and that one wouldn’t hold water. Also note inside the condo said if anyone ask we were friends of the host so it seemed the condos had a no vrbo or short term rental policy which made us feel a little us feel a bit uncomfortable being somewhere we should no be.

There was no issue with the clubhouse and access to the pool and hot tub. The fob has to be placed at a certain location in the key pad for the door to open. I explained that. And anytime the fob is not placed correctly a person may get frustrated and walk off. So what the guest is saying isn’t accurate and he wants a full refund even though he stayed the entire stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Port Hueneme! The beach was beautiful and just a short walk away, complete with a scenic pier. The home was roomy, comfortable, and incredibly quiet—perfect for relaxing. Being in a gated community made it feel very safe and pleasant. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful coastal getaway!

Beachfront Condo

Great location across the street from town beach. A little chilly for summer visit to CA. Temps were in the low 60 with stiff wind . Last day it turned sunny and warm.

Enjoyable stay!

We were quite comfortable and really enjoyed the use of the kitchen. We had a little trouble navigating the TV but watched what we could find. The condo has a lot of light, more than those who live outside a city were used to. We were unable to arrive as planned and checked in the next day, however our host extended our check out time which gave us a chance to explore our surroundings. The host was wonderfully helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Lovely condo in a great location

My family had a wonderful time staying in Port Hueneme. The condo is close to the beach and only a 20 minute drive to Channel Islands National Park ferry. The one hiccup was trying to get into the complex on our first night since the directions listed were incorrect (wrong street names and we were unable to get through gates on our own). We ended up following someone else through the gates and then used the key and gate clicker to open them during the rest of our stay. When I reached out about the WiFi network being unavailable, communication with the host was very fast. Overall, a great experience!

Thanksgiving weekend with our sailor...

The property was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. We didn't spend a lot of time on site; however, when we did, we enjoyed the small patio, nice dinner table, short walk to the beach, and comfortable living space. We also took advantage of the washer and dryer (which our sailor appreciated). We felt very safe within the gated community and when we went on a few short walks within the community, were greeted with polite and friendly faces.

Not Allowed in

Booked the property. Got a confirmation. Then told by owner I cannot stay. Spent 4 hrs trying to get refund. Beware book at your own risk.

I blocked off my calendar for the dates that the guests booked for. The fact that he was unable to finish the booking wasn’t my fault. I refunded 100% of what I would have received if the booking were to proceed. I didn’t receive any funds and shouldn’t be blamed for issues beyond my control.

It was a nice condo. Across the street from the beach. Condo had alot of extras towels, blankets, plates, my favorite hot sauce Tapatio, toothbrush. One thing I felt a cetaim type of way about is the thermostat was powered on but it did not operate the AC at all. I came in from a long walk and I was hot as hell and i could not power on the central air. I was told by Joel that the outside temperature affects the thermostat. I live in Nevada we are ice cold in the winter and most nights and my AC is still fullly functional year round. The only other item that was hit and miss was the WIFI. Very spotty, touch and go lots of buffering. I was told by Joel that the ocean waves affect the WIFI. This WIFI signal issue must be exclusive to Port Hueneme because I did not have this issue when I lived in San Pedro Harbor. The hot tub had alot of bleach but that has nothing to do with the host. He let me do a late check out which was really kind of him. He was very responsive during our entire trip. It was a very good deal all things considered.

Pool not avaliable

Fob for club house and key to exit gate missing from the unit. No solution for the missing key items for stay. Pool out of commission for a year. Nothing stated. Misrepresented amenities. No key for gate defeated the purpose of "10 steps to the beach" cleanliness: hair on bed and on floor, floor was dirty.

Key to the clubhouse was actually in a door in the foyer. And a hair on the bedding or sheets.. hmm… I don’t even know how that even falls in the category of a complaint ? I guess no matter how hard a host tries to complement sometimes it just isn’t enough. I’ve never had a guest complain about a single hair on a bedding ?

Gorgeous Seaside Condo

We had a miscommunication that was totally NOT the host’s fault but rather an emergency trip to the hospital that left me incommunicado! He was so kind about tho and even let us stay an extra few hours!! Amazing!!! Who does that!!?? The place is spotless, beautifully decorated and perfect for a family get together. Indeed, while we old people scurried back to our abode nearby, apparently there was an intense game of cards being heatedly pored over thru the night, lol (my kids are into those odd games like Among Us!) Port Hueneme is seemingly a secluded area but lots of options nearby for getting what you are craving nearby. And lots of wonderful beach nearby to waddle into! PS nothing wrong with the internet! It works well and was fine!

Mimi and her family were amazing guests. She always responded to communications with kindness and understanding. The way people communicate and treat your property tells a lot about their human values. She is the type of guest who makes me want to add more amenities and beauty to my property. Directions to enter was confusing. Never did find a key pad. Difficultgetting into complex. We never did get a correct code to lock the property.Screen door fell off on arrival. Never fixed. No air ventilation in all rooms. Suggestion to leave doors open. Beach area always cold.Condo street level. 4 barking dogs all 4 days. No help from host in dealing with this. States the beach people just have dogs. Hard to sleep.No shoes requested, Feet and socks black.Laundry room w/o supplies.No exit recommendations.Again could not lock property properly.Very frustrated with stay!!

Disconnected Beach Stay

Our family stayed at this VRBO for a weekend...please read below for details: PROS: Beautiful, remodeled and updated condo steps from the beach. Everything at property was clean and organized. CONS: The entire time during our stay there was NO WIFI. We contacted host within an hour of arrival to explain the 3 tv's had no service, we could not connect to internet or wifi on phones. Host was responsive but overall dismissive explaining how "area struggles with wifi near the Naval base", told us to go to clubhouse to access wifi and in the end did NOT resolve any issues on his property. Residents around us mentioned they all had wifi with no issues and we have also stayed in these same condos with good wifi. Overall, if you are not needing to connect to WIFI, this location near the beach will be perfect for you!

This was an unfortunate situation. And yea other residents may have had their wifi on. But most of those residents are not right on the beach and when there’s a wifi outage it would have required me coming in the house unplugging and rebooting the router which would have disrupted their stay. This does not happen often at all, but yes there are signal issues every now and then on a beachfront property.
