About Owner Doug and Carol
Carol is a registered nurse and Doug is self employed. He fixes leaking roofs on commercial industrial buildings and installs snowguards. We live in Milford, MA and have four grown children ,one granddaughter and one on the way, and two sweet little dogs.
Owner Doug and Carol purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Owner Doug and Carol chose Portsmouth
We bought this property due to it being right next door to our other one. #366526. We love the ocean and wildlife and always get a tranquil feeling when here. Both properties have large yards and fantastic views. Two families or groups of friends could rent side by side. You could have your privacy while also being together.
What makes this Cottage unique
This place is so relaxing and peaceful, without the Cape Cod traffic! There are gorgeous beaches all around and Newport and Providence are full of things to do and see.

Cozy waterfront stay
This was a great place to stay with family. It was freezing outside when we were there but the interior was cozy, and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. Our only regret was that we didn't get to use the porch and dock-- too cold!
Beautiful and peaceful
Staying at Doug and Carols home was great! We loved the beautiful back deck and the peace and quietness! We hope to come back in the summer! I would recommend this home to anyone!
Lovely spot and very comfortable
The deck is big, the views over the bay are lovely and the location is close to lots to do. Very comfortable. We’d do it again.
Doug and Carol are fantastic to deal with. The place is cute and the location could not be more beautiful. We had a really good time.
Lovely property and location. Beautiful sunrises and very peaceful, yet easy walk to great restaurants.
Will definitely return.
Large deck and brand new dock...a gem!
Carol and Doug are warm and friendly hosts who were very responsive to all of our questions and needs. We loved staying at their cozy home, and having the fabulous deck and dock made our summer vacation a spectacular one. The cove is a perfect place to swim, kayak or paddle board. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful here. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that my husband and I stayed with our two grown daughters and the house is on the small side for 4 adults. Our daughters stayed in the upstairs loft (converted attic), which might be more well-suited for kids. It limited their space -- they couldn't really hang out there -- and they had to walk through our bedroom to access it so that limited our privacy somewhat. The shower was fabulous!! We really loved it here and highly recommend it. Thank you Carol and Doug!
