Welcome to Eagle's Nest, a magnificent home nestled in the foothills of Clear Lake. It's perfect for couples, family gatherings, quiet escapes, fishing trips or exploring the Clear Lake area.


Luxurious 2,300 sq. ft. 3 bedroom, 2 bath designer home nestled in the foothills just above Clear Lake with wrap around deck, jetted tub, fire pit, gourmet kitchen and stunning lake views from throughout the house. Five acres with incredible views of Clear Lake and Mt. Konocti on walking trail. Equipped with high speed wireless internet. Lots of space for parking boats and cars. Surrounded by majestic oak trees in a secluded, quiet peaceful area with abundant wildlife including deer, wild turkey, jack rabbits and a large variety of birds - a nature lovers paradise.

Relax and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Clear Lake, Mount Konocti and surrounding foothills from the home and wrap-around deck. Treat yourself to a relaxing bath in a jetted tub in the luxurious and spacious master bathroom. Wake up to breathtaking views of Clear Lake from the master bedroom.

A great place to stay if you are coming to Clear Lake for its world famous year-round bass fishing, or just to relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and explore the many natural wonders of Clear Lake. Just three blocks from the lake and a five minute drive to free public boat launches, public beaches, marina and parks.

Clear Lake is great for kayaking, swimming, water-skiing, tubing and boating. Located just off scenic Highway 20 offering spectacular views of Clear Lake and Mount Konocti. Near many of Clear Lake's growing local wineries and tasting rooms.

Ideal for bass fisherman with plenty of space for parking boats and trailers. Home has a garage and basement to park cars and store belongings. Plenty of local fishing guides nearby for those not familiar with Clear Lake, not experienced with bass fishing, or that do not have a boat. Clear Lake is a great place for hiking. Explore trails at Anderson Marsh State Park, Clear Lake State Park and Mt. Konocti.

ABOUT LAKE COUNTY AND CLEAR LAKE: Clear Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the State of California and second oldest lake in the world! Visitors enjoy fishing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, water-skiing, boating, and riding jet skis. There are 11 free boat launch ramps around the lake, and guests can rent boats and personal watercraft from several local businesses. Clear Lake can be found in beautiful Lake County, approximately 120 minutes northwest of Sacramento and 120 minutes northeast of San Francisco. For thirteen consecutive years Lake County has the cleanest air in all of California. Winters are mild here, generally 40s and 50s and Summer temperatures are usually in the 80s and 90s.

The lake itself is truly magnificent. It stretches nearly twenty miles in length and includes over 100 miles of shoreline. Considered a 'warm water' lake, the bass fishing is unrivaled as witnessed by the many fishing tournaments held here annually.

Great location, tons of room, and a great view.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Eagle's Nest. We have stayed at both this property and the smaller property and love the location and the beautiful view. We had several family members with us this trip and we all felt that there was plenty of room inside and out on the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped and the basics are there which is nice. It is challenging to get up there because there is a steep hill and it is difficult to turn around and enter the driveway but we got used to it quickly. My only negatives were that we couldn't find any towels to dry dishes with (there was only small one) and the bedding and pillows are in need of some updating. Overall, this is a great value and very nice property with beautiful views of Clearlake Oaks and Konocti. I would enjoy staying her again.

Our Stay at Eagle's Nest

This home is worth a visit! Lots of room, very open and inviting. Beds were wonderful. With that beautiful kitchen, we would encourage a purchase of new glassware! Lots of coffee mugs, but very few water glasses to use other than plastic. Also found a few scary looking mugs that either needed to be scrubbed or thrown away! Other than these few things, the house was clean and beautiful. Very reasonable price for what you get. We hope to return someday. Our husbands enjoyed the fishing while the girls did some wine tasting and shopping! Great food at Blue Wing Restaurant in Upper Lake. Thanks for sharing Eagle's Nest with us.

We stock a large number of glasses, but they get broken so we will re-stock those so there will be plenty available for our guests. We'll dispose of the two mugs. Always a wonderful time!

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful place in Clearlake. It's a hidden gem that we hope to return to again soon. Incredibly spacious, everything you need, and outstanding views. The most perfect place for a "staycation" to work from home safely. Hosts are also incredibly responsive if you ever need anything. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Quiet and extremely spacious. Best equipped kitchen I've seen

We were a family of two couples and a single adult. The rooms were all oversized, which particularly was good during COVID since we didn't need to be close together but had lots of room to socialize. Kitchen had every kinds of dishes, glasses pots, appliances, utensils that you could think of . Full laundry area. Many basics (paper towels, plastic bags, soaps, garbage bags, a few spices and a little cooking oil, laundry soap) were provided. Nice view. Wish the deck a little wider as there is no room for a table so while we barbecued, we always had to eat inside. Easy shopping nearby at the Red and White ( 5 minutes away). We were only there for 4 nights, and didn't need more than what they had. Several places nearby to wine taste ( by reservation) and reasonable priced compared to Napa. Clear Lake was not clear and had a lot of algae. Best known for fishing, not swimming. But we rented a boat at a facility about 45 minutes away on the north end of the lake and it was a lot of fun. We had hoped for better hiking but in July, it was just too hot. The AC in the cabin worked great! Owners quickly responded to any questions I had ahead of time about the facilities in the area and what we needed to bring ( just your own clothes and beach towels, really). We did bring our own barbecue grill mats for a much easier cleanup. Check out was very easy. We just cleaned up, got the garbage out and ran the dishwasher. No need to strip beds or vacuum.

Perfect for the Family

Highly recommended property. Communication with Dave was easy and friendly. Everything is just how it is described in the listing. My wife was impressed(which is hard to do). My 15 year old daughter and her friend enjoyed the spacious house. My 8 year old son felt like a king in a castle. Keep the screen doors closed. Great views of the foothills and lake. You can do a short hike around the property. The house was well stocked with most of the essentials of life. Will stay here again.

Fabulous views

My daughters and I had an amazingly restful few days in this wonderful property. We had so much space and it was an absolute pleasure to cook, eat and hang out in the apartment with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains from almost every room. Would love to return with a larger group one day.

Great place for family week at the lake!

This was our first VRBO and we were very happy with our choice. The house is very large, lots and lots of room. Nice kitchen (which is good because the dining choices nearby were a little limited), large bedrooms, large living area, great view. Everything went smoothly. We did have a large bass boat with us and that provided a few challenges because the property is on a steep hill, but there are 2 free launches nearby and we had a great time. Spent most of our time fishing but there are lots of nearby vineyards and Mt. Konocti has some great hiking trails. Dave & Christy responded quickly to any questions we had. Thanks!

Nice, clean, comfortable home.

We only stayed for two days and the kids didn't want to leave. The house had a very open layout which was conducive to family gatherings. Kitchen had everything that you needed. The area was very nice !

Lovely place

Very spacious nice views the only thing some pots/ dishes were a little greasy maybe dishwasher not cleaning right ?? But I washed pots and dishes as used no biggie overall a great place to relax my family had a great time would come back again great house.

Quiet spot with a SPECTACULAR view

This was a great place to stay for our friends' wedding in Lucerne. Spacious living area was more than enough space for our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Nicely appointed and convenient to either end of Clear Lake. Only drawback was the steep dirt road and tight switchback turn into the driveway at the house. Once we got there, though, the view made it all worth it!

Wonderful house with amazing views!

We spent a week at Eagle's Nest and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful inside and the view of Clear Lake is amazing! Also, we saw all kinds of wildlife, wild turkeys, jack rabbits and ground squirrels. I highly recommend Eagles Nest when visiting the Clear Lake area.

Great view! Lovely home!

My family stayed here for two nights going into Fourth of July holiday weekend. The owners were very responsive to questions in advance and our suggestions following our stay. It's a lovely open and spacious home with a great view. And so quiet! Note: Due to the direction of the sun and position of the trees, the master stays much warmer than the rest of the house even with the A/C running. We were unable to find any BBQ utensils or meal prep knives. We found a lot of dirty dishes in the cabinets - likely previous guests putting things away dirty and not caught by the cleaners - that we had to rewash before we could use many of them. If you're bringing your family, you're going to need to bring your own pack n play and booster seat. There are only a couple games/puzzles for use and no movies... So be sure to pack anything you need to keep kids entertained. If you're driving in from I-5 on Hwy 20, be aware that there is no cell service for much of that stretch. If you have an unfortunate break down like we did, you'll have to use an emergency call box... of which there are thankfully many along the way. ;) Thank you! We'd stay here again if we go back to Clear Lake!

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Eagle's Nest! We appreciate the feedback. We have let our cleaners know about the dirty dishes that previous guests put into the cupboards and they have gone through and cleaned them. There are BBQ utensils at the house, perhaps you did not find them. We had the AC system checked and have had the ducting modified to take care of the issue with the master bedroom so that it now cools the same as the rest of the house. The home is very nice, but the surrounding area is not very nice. The property is located by run down and neglected properties. It is a shame.

Hi Tricia, glad that you liked our home beautiful lake and mountain views. Regarding your comments about homes in the surrounding area, that is the first time in the five years we have been renting our vacation home that we have heard that! Our guests love our home and the beautiful natural surrounding area. We are in a quiet safe neighborhood with not more than a couple dozen homes, many of which are quite nice. As you know, you see more wild turkeys and deer at our home than people. There are no visible homes above us, just beautiful open space with oak trees. We just purchased the four acre open space lot to the right of us which has beautiful panoramic views of Clear Lake and Mt. Konocti that our guests can now enjoy. The home to the left of us is a very nice vacation home. There are some modest and unoccupied homes in the neighborhood lower on the hillside. That is common in the Clear Lake area and any country community where there are many good hard-working people of modest means. That is part of the beauty of being in the country! We would love to hear your suggestions on what we can add to our kitchen which is well appointed with everything you would expect in a vacation home. We have added many things over the years based on suggestions from our guests and receive good feedback about our amenities. Regards, Dave and Christy

One of a kind property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at Eagle's Nest! We discovered some wonderful new wineries and caught some nice fish during our stay. We enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys that visited the property each morning. The house was beautiful as usual and the views are incredible. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We love the spacious layout of the house. We appreciated the new big screen HD TV, it was perfect for watching the Warriors game. Wonderful House

I love this house and how it's laid out! It's so open and bright and has a beautiful view! This is probably the 4th time I've stayed here. It's always super clean, and easy to keep clean while being there. It's very quiet and we always feel very safe. I can't wait to go back!
