Beautiful scenery, very secluded which is perfect, there’s a lot to do in the surrounding towns and farther out especially if you’re looking for museums and art.
Beautiful private property near great shopping and restaurants. Really enjoyed spending time here host was very responsive. Look forward to coming back.
Lars was a very communicative host and you can tell he puts a lot of care into his home. We loved how natural the setting was while also being close to town amenities (shout out The Market Wagon)! The hot tub and claw foot tub were so refreshing, and despite being a renovated barn, the home had all the modern comforts we could want.
We've been staying here for years. We keep going back because they did a great job when they remodeled the barn into a guest house. It's secluded on over 6 acres which is great for our dog. But it's also close to the charming town of Bennington. Lars is the best host. He's always available if you have a question.
We loved our trip to Shaftsbury. The house was lovely and full of so many fun little details. We loved wandering around the trails on the property with our dog. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We didn't use the grills or the hot tub, but loved that we had the option. Lars was super responsive and helpful. There are a lot of cute restaurants and shops within a 5-10 minute drive and the whole area itself is just beautiful. I would absolutely love to stay here again if we ever plan another trip to the area!
Great spot for a weekend getaway. Well stocked kitchen. Wood stove was great keeping the place warm during extreme temps. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very private too!
It was a great weekend away, enjoying the coziness of the rustic barn house and the quietness of the country feel. Definitely would consider returning again and spending more time visiting the surrounding areas. The host was spot on and very much easy to communicate with which always makes the process that much more enjoyable and stress free. Oh they have yard bunnies too
This property is absolutely gorgeous inside and out! It is very secluded with beautiful grounds, the inside is bigger than I was expecting and perfectly decorated to give off the secluded mountain cabin vibe, plus the wood stove is perfect. Lars was extremely nice and easy to communicate with, we will definitely stay again!
