Step right down to your private dock for fishing, water skiing, and every water sport imaginable—all on pristine, protected Powderhorn Bay, renowned for smooth waters and outstanding kokanee, trout, and salmon fishing. The region’s bicycle trails, considered among the best in North Idaho, are just outside your door.

Set on the spectacular shores of Coeur d’Alene Lake—celebrated by National Geographic as “one of the six most beautiful lakes in the world”—this location immerses you in nature. You’ll discover abundant wildlife, from elk and deer to beaver, otters, and wild turkeys, with deer often wandering through the drive. Birdwatchers will be delighted by regular sightings of bluejays, ospreys, great blue herons, hawks, and bald eagles overhead, especially during seasonal migrations and the iconic winter eagle gatherings.​

Perfect for large or multiple families, Kokanee Cabin features every comfort: a fully equipped kitchen with island and breakfast nook, a dining room for ten, and three inviting living rooms filled with natural light. Each lounge area offers Dish TV, DVD players, and unlimited fast WiFi—stream Netflix or your favorite shows on any device, anytime.

There’s ample space for everyone across three floors:

Third floor: King master suite, adjoining “secret” kids’ room with two twin beds, loft lounge with queen sofa sleeper, a small "crow's nest deck and full bathroom. The shower provides a view of our trees and occasionally, you might see a critter in them.

Main floor: Chef’s kitchen, living room, kids’ games-and-toy paradise, and a queen log bedroom. There are two full bathrooms and the large washer and dryer.

Main Floor Deck: Outdoor living is a highlight here, with a propane grill on the upper deck for easy family barbecues and sunset dinners. We have comfortable lounge area seating, a picknick table and other seating options.

Main Floor Entrance Area: Enjoy a covered area with lots of seating and propane firepit. It is the perfect spot for evening s’mores and relaxing with a glass of wine after a day on the water.

Lower floor: Recreation room and four bedrooms—two queen rooms (one with rustic log furnishings), a twin room, and a queen/twin bunk room.

The lower level boasts a bar and entertainment zone: third living room, pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, and cornhole, offering plenty of room for privacy or fun with hundreds of DVD movies, board games, and toys—ideal for cozy family nights in.

Though tranquil and private, Kokanee Cabin is just a scenic 40-minute drive to downtown Coeur d’Alene. Nearby Harrison (10 minutes away) offers small-town essentials: grocery, cafes, boutiques, a historic bar (One Shot Charlie’s), and rentals for bikes, waverunners, and boats.

Swim, hike, or bike right from the deck, or savor 100 feet of private waterfront. The renowned Trails of the Coeur d’Alene, over 70 miles of paved scenic pathway, winds alongside the river and lake for cycling, rollerblading, and long walks. By boat, you’re minutes from hotspots like Harrison Gateway Marina, Conkling Park, Rockford Bay, Carlin Bay, and only 30 minutes to the famous floating green at Coeur d’Alene Resort. Antique-lovers will find treasures in historic Harrison or nearby Kellogg, a former silver-mining town.​
