The views from the inside the villa and around the property were breathtaking. You couldn’t ask for better host than Panos. His assistance with rental cars, transportation to/from the port and airport helped make our stay even better. The initial stocking of groceries for the villa by Panos was a welcome surprise. The location is exactly what we we looking forward to; the views, the easy accessibility by car to all parts of Santorini, the delightful restaurants a short walk or drive away, and a very comfortable place to relax and enjoy the sunset at the end of the day, all combined to make for a memorable journey. Our thanks to Panos!

Wonderful stay. View from the pool and loungers to watch the sunset was fabulous. Panos was an excellent host. So helpful with setting up transportation and quick to respond to any questions we had. Fridge was stocked with food and drink upon our arrival. Thank you Panos!

Wonderful experience. Wonderful location and service from Panos in setting things up while on the island and went out of his way to make your stay enjoyable(ex. Fridge was stocked with beer, soda and waters and a nice selection of local foods when we arrived. Also I had asked if they had a Bluetooth speaker for the pool area and he said they did not but it was a great idea and would have one sent over. The next morning a new Bluetooth speaker arrived). The outdoor pool area is amazing and the views are even better. Overall a great experience and one we will never forget.

Has to be the best place on the island!

We spent 4 nights at the villa and would definitely stay here again! We were a family of 5, my husband & I, our adult son and his wife and our 17 yr old son. We really enjoyed our private pool and enjoyed the sunset and view every evening! It was a great location for easy day trips around the island. The villa was very clean and comfortable and Panos had snacks and drinks and water stocked for us when we arrived! We ate breakfast every morning at a bakery near by and really fell in love with Megalachori! Panos was such a great host! I reached out to him before our trip and he arranged transfers for us, a rental car that was delivered to the villa for us and helped me arrange a catamaran day for us. One of the first evenings we were in town and accidentally left the lights on in the car so the battery was dead when we were ready to go home. I contacted Panos after 10:30 pm and he immediately replied and asked the rental car company to contact me. They picked us up and took us to the villa and brought us the car back in he morning. Everyone was so nice! Staying at the villa was a great experience!!

Our family of four stayed here and it was one of the best homes we have ever stayed in. First, don’t fight the crowds in Oia for a sunset…we sat by the pool with our cocktails and watched the amazing sunset each night in the peace and quiet. The house has everything you need and was stocked with food and drinks when we arrived. The host was amazing and arranged our transfer from the port, to the airport, our rental car and a dinner reservation, he is so fast to respond and it went above and beyond. You will feel like you have Santorini to yourself here. It was an easy drive to Oia and we went early so parking was easy and we beat all the cruise people. We loved being able to explore.

Santorini escape

The villa’s location is away from the hubbub of Oia and Fira. There are walkable nearby restaurants but a car is advisable. We booked a private tour our first full day which gave us the lay of the land and our host arranged for a rental car to be delivered to the villa for our use thereafter. It is 15 minutes to the shopping of Fira and 25 minutes to Oia by car but closer to beaches and scenic towns on its end of island. The villa itself is relatively small with ground floor bed in a pull out couch which appears to be permanently set up as bed in a little living area next to the kitchen. Private bath on first floor also. Master bedroom is on second floor accessed by a narrow spiral metal staircase. Very nice furnishings upstairs and nice bath. What makes this vila special is the spectacular view of the caldera from large windows on both first and second floors and the outside pool and patio with lounging bed and chairs and small tables. It is perched literally on the edge of a cliff with a wonderfully beautiful sunset view. The host was quite attentive to all of our requests arranging not only rental car but airport transportation. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing Santorini accommodation

Highly recommend the caldera view villa. The view truly is spectacular and the best sunset on the island. The hot tub in the upstairs master was perfect to start and end your day and the setup worked great for our family of 4 which includes two “adult” sons. Panos is a perfect host from helping with transport and car service, a stocked fridge and snacks for arrival, suggestions to make the most of our days and quick communications. The close village was an easy walk to shop and eat. The location is an easy drive to all sites. Definitely book for your perfect Santorini experience.

Unbelievable stay!

My wife Mary and I stayed at the Caldera View Villa for six nights in late September/Early October. We were celebrating our 40th Anniversary. Everything about the villa, the location, and the host was amazing!! We believe the Villa provides the best view of the famous Santorini sunset on the island, and the fact that it is your private view is just unbelievable. The Host, Panos, was great. He arranged travel to and from the airport, a rental car, a sunset cruise around the volcano, food in the fridge, and help with anything we needed. We give it a 20 out of 10. We hope to come back to Santorini in the future, and we will definitely stay at the Caldera View Villa again.

A relaxing stay in a beautiful spot.

Wonderful property with an incredible caldera view to see Santorini’s famed sunsets. Panos met us at the villa and gave us a quick orientation and set us up with a collection of food essentials that was extremely welcome. His customer focus and attention to detail was impeccable throughout our stay. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Next year maybe!

So beautiful

Everything you read in the other reviews is true. Panos is very very helpful, arranging taxis, etc. In addition, he left food! Snacks, water, bread, cheese. I wish every host did this. It meant we could settle in and not immediately have to go grocery shopping. So, the place. Gorgeous. We actually spent one day just hanging out there, rather than going around the island. It really is just like the photos. Some things to be aware of, though. Santorini isn't really meant for pedestrians. I didn't want to rent a car, but that would have made everything easier. Walking on the very narrow shoulder to go to the nearby grocery store or the bus stop was not fun. Also, run the a/c or open the windows if you use the hot tub in the master bedroom. Otherwise you will feel you are sleeping by an indoor pool with the chlorine smell. The master bedroom has a door, and therefore privacy. The second bedroom is right by the kitchen. So no privacy. I think it's pretty clear from the photos. Overall, stunning, beautiful place, great host, and I would definitely return.

Absolutely Perfect

Having never been to Santorini, we didn’t know what to expect of this location. It is between Akrotiri and Fira. It is not in the crazy busy tourist part of Fira or Oia. It is the only truly private pool I found anywhere. The patio and pool photos we have are so incredibly gorgeous!!!The views are unmatched of the caldera and sunset! This was truly the perfect place for us. I was so happy we did not stay in Fira or Oia! Panos was amazing and had food and beverages stocked when we arrived. He arranged for our transfer from the port and a car rental for our stay.

This Place is Amazing!

We spent at week with our family of 4 at Caldera View and it was simply amazing! The views of the caldera alone made this home a perfect spot for our family, but add in the infinity pool, privacy, proximity to restaurants, markets and hikes...and you have it all. And Panos was absolutely amazing! He helped arrange transportation, provided suggestions for restaurants and day trip and set up an amazing boat tour of the volcano. He went above and beyond and made the trip truly spectacular. I would recommend renting a car (at least in the high season). We used taxis for the first day or so to get around, but it was a lot of fun to explore the island on our own and it ultimately was cheaper to rent a car. Panos was able to set that up for us and simply had a car dropped off at the house, which was so easy. All in all, this place was the perfect getaway home for our family and we would highly recommend it!

Absolutely stunning experience. Beautiful, private with breathtaking views. Pool was a showstopper. Excellent wading area with lounges for the perfect view of the caldera. And a decent dunking area for when it gets hot. If you are looking for a private place away from the hustle and bustle, this is definitely worth a look!

We loved our stay at Caldera View Villa. Centrally located with amazing sunset views, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to visit Oia and Fira and multiple beaches during our stay. We enjoyed a glass of local wine on the patio in the evening and swam and relaxed by the pool during the day. Panos was the consummate host providing us with a full fridge and snacks, water and wine. He also gave us advice on where to dine. He often checked on us throughout our stay. I cannot say enough about how special it was to view the caldera and make memories with our grown children

Amazing Time and Stay!

My family and I had the most spectacular time staying at the Caldera Villa. In walking distance to the Boutari Winery, cliffs and an easy drive to all villages on the island. Panos was very communicative and helped us order taxis and checked in every day during our stay. From the views to the accommodations to the experience, we will 100% be coming back!

Best vacation place

It was by far the best vacation rental that we had. Panos was awesome. Friendly family man. He made our stay wonderful. Very attentive and caring. His place was soooooo beautiful. It was the best view for sun set as he mentioned it to us. My 3 boys didn’t even go out. Very sweet family . We get to meet his sweet dad. Love it a lot.

Villa Stay

The pool and view from the villa were fantastic. The villa itself was a bit dated, but clean nonetheless. Panos was excellent, and very responsive to all our questions and requests. We would recommend this to our friends.

Second honeymoon dream come true!

Our experience was nothing less than a once in a lifetime. We had spent the previous days at our daughter's wedding in Italy so our trip to Santorini was for us alone, a second honeymoon if you will. The listing is completely accurate and the location met every expectation and then some. We wanted privacy, sunsets, romance, comfort and ease of getting around the island and this property made all those things possible. But the real difference maker was our host, Panos, and the attention and care he provided prior to our arrival, the phone call assisting us with the last few meters in finding the villa to how he was immediately responsive and attentive to any request we made. For example help with dinner recommendations and reservations. Or how about on our first morning and we tried to make a small breakfast on the stove and the unit failed (and reached the end of its useful life) and a new stove was installed within 3-4 hrs. Or how he increased the water temp for the interior jacuzzi or had the outdoor pool cleaned mid-stay. We were amazed at just how quickly he responded to us as if we were his sole purpose and focus for our time there. What is the rating of stars for "off the chart?" Would we go back? We are already looking at the possibility. It was the only way we could depart otherwise it would have been too difficult. Also, if we do make it back there we would ask Panos to see if he could provide a mattress topper as our only issue was that the mattress was very firm. Of course, we were able to manage by getting up and getting in the jacuzzi which eased all the little aches and pains! This property and its host are amazing!!

Trip of a lifetime!

The views are absolutely spectacular!!! The house was wonderful. So clean and comfortable. The property owner was always available and incredibly helpful. If we return to the wonderful island of Santorini we will without a doubt stay here!
