Le condo Kapa'a Sunrise est une maison spacieuse et enchanteresse avec vue sur l'océan située près de la plage et de l'océan Pacifique éblouissant. Si spécial que les mots et les images ne peuvent pas décrire! Ce charmant condo de style Plantation dispose d'une chambre et d'une salle de bain complète sur une route calme sur le côté est merveilleux de Kauai. Proche des parcours de golf primés, des magasins, des restaurants, des plages et des aventures, la maison offre un hébergement splendide pour votre famille ou pour vous deux.
La photographie hawaïenne orne les murs, tandis que la beauté naturelle offre des vues lointaines sur l'océan. La cuisine comporte des comptoirs en granit et est entièrement équipée avec toutes les commodités dont vous aurez besoin pour vous sentir chez vous et divertir votre famille et vos amis. L'unité K14 est au deuxième étage et est l'une des meilleures unités du complexe en raison de la vue. L'unité a été récemment rénovée et meublée avec un mobilier contemporain. Il y a une télévision à écran plat dans le salon et la chambre avec un lecteur DVD dans le salon. Le canapé a un lit queen size gigogne.

We had an excellent stay at this VRBO! The location couldn’t have been better—just a short, easy walk to the beach, which made it so convenient to go back and forth throughout the day. It was also easy drive to Princeville, Lihue, and Poipu. We especially appreciated having beach chairs, umbrella, cooler provided. It made our time exploring other beaches on Kauai so much more enjoyable.Another huge plus was being within walking distance to Coconut Marketplace and the ABC Store. There were so many great food options nearby, whether we wanted something quick and casual or a more relaxed meal.Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay—comfortable, well-located, and thoughtfully equipped. We would absolutely come back!

Great location for our first trip to this island. Easy to access all the different parts of the island that our planned adventures took us to, great food options nearby, and of all the places we shopped we loved the Kapaa shops the best. Truly a central spot, with everything you need. The condo was clean, stocked well, and very quiet. The patio was perfect for relaxing in the evenings after our daily adventures, and the pool/hot tub was nice too. Great for sore muscles after hiking all over the beautiful island of Kauai.

The pools and hot tubs were great, we used them every day. We also enjoyed the air conditioning! Laundry facility excellent. Host was very helpful, got us supplies that were missing.

The check in time was 4 PM and there was no instructions ( door code, key etc) messaged the host around 5 PM as we still had not received any check in information. The host was MIA, unreachable via VRBO message for over two hrs until I had to call the VRBO support line and had to be on hold for over 40 minutes to get the host to provide with keys for checking in. Also no apologies for delays or not giving any proper instructions. Very unreliable.

Hi Ken Sorry you had difficulty reaching VRBO. It’s my understanding there was no delay upon check in as you received the door code prior to your arrival at the condo. I’m sorry you feel I don’t care because I do. My guests experience is very important to me as you can see from all the other reviews. I’m sorry for your frustration.

Pleasant Stay in Kapaa. Quiet and tidy condo.

Very nice, quiet condo. Really appreciated the cooler and beach chairs available to renters. Condo owner very attentive and communicative, and genuinely committed to providing a great lodging experience. Will definitely contact her again for my next Kauai vacation.

Well appointed condo with odd view

The condo itself is nice. Lots of spices and nice dishes and glassware, and the usual assortment of funky pots and pans. The view from the deck is of the parking lot, then a tall fence surrounding an abandoned field, then the ocean. It's only a couple of minutes to the beach, which was nice. The building seems to be used more as a hotel on the weekends with large groups of youths on sports teams spending the night in several units and or a large party of boys spending two nights. They observed the quiet hours so there really wasn't a problem, just not what we expected in a vacation condo.

Very comfy!

We visit from sep 27 to oct 2. The condo was very well packed with everything you can possibly need! Very clean! And with a comfy king size bed! The grounds are also well kept and beautiful flora! It is not a new construction. Walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The beach is also walking distance. You can see the ocean in the distance from the second floor. There is a big lot boarded up between the complex and the rocky beach, looks like they are getting ready to build an other resort or hotel there... It is a bit of an eye sore at this time... But we visit some other beaches anyway. We also visit Maui after Kauai, and I really wish to come back to Kauai again...really has that island feel, with a lot of natives still leaving there!!! Let down by owner

This place has the potential to offer a nice holiday stay. However, due to the obstructive and sometimes antagonistic response from the owner following our request to repair the broken A/C, I am forced to rate my stay as poor: We spotted that the A/C was broken as soon as we arrived and reported this to the owner (who was already aware as he said he'd been meaning to get it seen to for a while!). After daily calls to follow up on progress nothing was done about the issue and the owner became very unreasonable, even suggesting we could find somewhere else to stay! When I pay for an air conditioned apartment, I expect to get an air conditioned apartment and feel that my request to resolve the issue was more than reasonable especially considering the intense heat and humidity, which made evenings and night times very uncomfortable! After many highly-strung conversations with the owner attempting to reach a resolution I was forced to request a refund of some of the cost of my stay. This is a real shame as the location and apratment are actually more than adequate for a short stay. If the owner had resolved the matter in hand in an appropriate and reasonable way (or at all!) this would be a very different review. I would not recommend this rental, and will not be returning. Don't let this put you off Kauaii, just find somewhere else to stay!!

I take great pride in my Kauai home, in providing the best of what I have to offer guests by keeping the facilities in top notch condition.It gives me satisfaction to have happy vacationers stay at my condo.My property manager will attest to that. A new air conditioner was ordered for installation well before your stay and I thought it would have been installed before you arrived as it was scheduled to do so. I did everything in my power to make that happen, including taking phone calls at 1 am because I was, at the time, in a different time zone than the repair man. You made it very apparent that you were not going to be happy so I offered you a full refund and the option to find accommodations elsewhere. I have no interest in having unhappy guests even it means a loss of money. You were adamant that you wanted to stay and insisted on doing so. I honestly would have preferred you to find a place where you were happy,Instead, I gave you a discount as you requested. Even though we spoke on the phone several times you refer to me as a male, a curious thing considering I am female.

Last minute booking that worked out well

We have stayed at Plantation Hale about 4 times before this booking. This is the first time we booked through homeaway at this location. We like the location, the air conditioning is desired. Due to my husband's Grandmother age, we were waiting last minute to book to avoid not being able to cancel if we had to. We were so thankful Rae had this one available. We didn't have the daily cleanup, the free dvd rentals or able to use the beach towels after checkout , but we had the cooler to use, aloe vera gel in the place to use, and upgraded coffee pot and toaster. We were so happy the bathtub has been upgraded versus the other units we have stayed in. Still haven't ever used the pools or hot tub, but they look nice. It is sad they have boarded up the lot across the street, but her unit being on the 2nd floor, you still can standup and see the ocean. We still walked over about 3 evenings to see the sunset. Was so sad to not see locals fishing at night as we had before. Unsure if/when something will be built that may block the views. Still like the location and the ac, even if the view disappears. The first time we stayed in Kauai we stayed in Poipu at a place without ac, have also stayed at a place in Princeville without ac. Sure makes it more like a vacation when you are more comfortable. There was a lot of traffic getting in and out during rush hour times, but all people are better about letting people merge than where we live. Rae was great! We arrived around 1230pm, got our rental car and she allowed us to check in early since no one stayed there the day before. We didn't find a broom and dustpan to sweep during our stay, but made due using the vacuum attachment to clean up the tile floors. Whenever we messaged her, we heard back very quickly. We cook more than most others on vacation. I brought my own pizza pan, rolling pin, and lots of other stuff. We had homemade pizza, green chili gravy and biscuits for breakfast as well as other stuff. We recommend her place and wouldn't hesitate staying again.

Great location with everything we needed

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and this property fit perfectly with our plans. It is close to the airport and allows us to go to either the North Shore or drive to the Waimea Canyon. The grill right outside the building with this unit came in very handy. We were very happy with our choice.

A convenient a comfortable place to stay in Kauai

Our trip to Kauai was wonderful, the condo was very quiet, clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. It is conveniently located near restaurants, grocery stores and beaches. We recommend eating at LavaLava were the food is delicious, you can sit close to the beach with your toes in the sand and it's only a 5 minute walk from the condo. The condo is centrally located on the island for trips to either the West or North shores. While we were there it was a little cloudy and the waves were high so we took many trips to the South Western side of the Island to Salt Pond Beach were it always seemed to be sunny and there is a safe place to swim and snorkel. Only a 35 minute ride away (well worth the trip). The beach chairs and cooler provided in the condo came in very handy. Staff at the Plantation Hale were friendly and the property was well maintained, the pool and BBQ areas were extremely clean. The guided kayak tour to the Secret Falls with Ali's Kayak was one of the highlights of our trip. The owner Rae was great to deal with, we look forward to returning to this beautiful island.

Great stay in Kauai

This was our first trip to Hawaii and we had a great time. Rae's condo was great. It was clean and comfortable and just the right size for my wife and I. It's well decorated. Nothing is worn or old looking. It's stocked with beach towels, chairs, a cooler and some swim fins and mask. Selecting a condo with a full kitchen is essential if you want to save money on dining out. Food (both in the grocery stores and in restaurants is very expensive). Also picking a condo with air conditioning was more important than I thought. We were there the 2nd week of October and it was in the high 80's every day and low 80's at night. The air conditioning helped a lot for a comfortable night's sleep. The pool and hot tub were also nice. We chose to stay on the East side of the island to be more central. Every day we were heading to a different part of the island for different activities. We wanted to spend more time doing things than driving. It worked out great. Even though it's a small island, there's only one main road and the traffic gets pretty heavy. I would definitely recommend Rae's condo for any couple looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay.

Very clean and well appointed.

Very quiet. Location is close to all amenities needed. Owner is a pleasure to deal with and made everything come together smoothly. All sorts of beach gear is supplied and the beach is close by. Great ocean view albeit distant. Historic Kapa'a is wonderful with a beautiful walking path along the shoreline and only minutes from the condo. All in all a really nice place.

Clean & Comfortable

Family of 4 stayed for 5 nights. It was plenty of room for our family. Everything worked. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths. The location is great; very close to grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the pools and hot tub. It was nice to have use of a full kitchen. We walked to the beach and thoroughly appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels, and cooler. There is also snorkel gear. Even though we did not use them, I thought the movies and books were quite thoughtful and would be nice on a rainy day. In all, in was everything we needed and more. Only suggestions would be to include a few pool floats and toys (eg diving, goggles, etc) and a drying rack for beach towels and swimsuits, since you can't hang them over rails. :-)

Heaven on earth

Clean, centrally located condo!

Rae did a wonderful job of accommodating us as we had just visited the farmer's market that day and had groceries that needed a fridge. She let us drop our groceries/bags off at the condo while it was still being cleaned. She had snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, and beach towels--everything you could need for multiple days at the beach which was a nice surprise! The kitchen had nice amenities for us to prepare meals, which was great because not everything on the island is inexpensive. The condo was very spacious and very clean, with a 5 minute or less walk to the beach. Definitely windy this time of year, but it was still nice to be able to see a beach! I hope we will be able to return soon. Kauai itself is a beautiful getaway!

Comments on our stay

My wife & I arrived at 11pm. We were told that the unit we were staying in was completely on the far end of the complex. Not having a rental car,we were lucky that a security person happen to be at the front desk to give us a lift to the building that our unit was in. We were not told before hand by the owner or agent that a card is used to enter the unit. Much like a credit card that you swipe in a electronic box inorder to enter . This card must be used in a different manner which we were not given instructions on how to use from the front desk. After many attempts to open the door in a dark hallway, we finally managed to figure out how to open it. But it was extremely frustrating on top of not being able to reach anyone by phone at that time of night. However, after that scare, our 5 day stay was very pleasant. Walking distance to just about everything. The picture showing the beach at the end of the lawn area is a little deceiving. The balcony overlooks a parking lot, The lawn area is not a lawn. Its a private vacant lot approx. 80 to 90yds long. Then there is the beach. But it'a not a beach to to swim. You must drive or walk to another beach for that. The unit was very well equip with everything except an iron to iron your clothes. Over all, we enjoyed the stay, and will probably go back again. Be very careful with the rental car company's at the airport. There are a lot of hidden fees. You could end up paying almost twice of what you may think you are paying.

Very central location. A short walk to the most gorgeous beaches. Large drugstore next door. We were able to do so many day trips. Hiking, waterfalls, flightseeing tour, canyons, etc, etc. I could go on and on... The condo itself has all the comforts of home. We made many gourmet meals during our stay. Not to mention the owner was a complete pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this location! We plan to come back here again and again!

Great central location!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely fell in love with Kauai!!! This unit was good value, well-stocked, and in a great area walkable to many restaurants, Foodland, Safeway, Coconut Marketplace, bike rentals, etc. The ocean is not as close as it appears in photos - it is about a 5 minute walk across a large field and the parking lot is right outside the Lanai, but the sunrises were beautiful! We enjoyed the pools and bbq grills in the common areas. This unit had some nice updates in the bedroom and living room but the bathroom shower is in need of repair. Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and would recommend this property, and Rae was great to deal with. Kapaa was the perfect "home base" for the week to explore the island!
