This is a comfortable home with great beds. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had everything we needed for cooking some of our meals at home. The internet and cable service was very good. We really appreciated having a washer and dryer, and the air conditioning in each room made our stay very pleasant. We loved the quiet location next to the ocean, but for people like us who have little ocean experience, we learned that our beach was too dangerous for swimming. This was disappointing because we dreamed of walking out our door and playing in the ocean, but we now know this time of year (November) is not a good time to do that on any beach that isn’t somewhat protected and doesn’t have a lifeguard. I mention this not to detract from this property, but to inform future visitors like us. The location is beautiful, and we enjoyed the sight and sound of the waves!

From the moment we stepped in the front door, we felt relaxed and at peace. The house was lovely. It was great that the house supplied many amenities. The resident pets (chickens) were fun to watch. The location of the house was in a quiet neighborhood which made it enjoyable to just sit on the beach. One suggestion would be to trim the shrubs on the dune so that you can see over them while sitting in the chairs.

Great Getaway

Was the perfect place for our family. Location was great - able to see the island and get around. Sunrises every morning were beautiful. Property managers were available and checked in a few times to ensure everything was going well. Would definitely stay here.

Perfect

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The location is beautiful and on a quiet street. Being able to just walk outside and enjoy the ocean was amazing. Enjoyed early morning walks, snorkeling, and late afternoons watching the crabs. I would highly recommend water shoes due to the rocks and coral. Would definitely recommend this home for a larger family. The price I felt was a little high, but we absolutely loved it.

We had an amazing time. The home was very clean, kitchen was fully stocked with all you could ever need. Communication with the property management was great. We had an issue with the dryer not working. I reached out to after hours and Sue was quick to respond and had someone out to fix. Mahalo.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at the beach front home with the ocean at your doorstep. We were able to enjoy various water activities in our own private space. As others have mentioned, there are rocks in the water, but we wore water shoes, which we needed in most of Kauai. It was easy to rinse the shoes outside and leave them to dry.The inside accomodations were roomy for 3 couples and the lanai was a comfortable spot to spend the evening and avoid the sun at it's peak. I would absolutely recommend this property.

Beautiful ocean view through the dirty windows

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property needs to be cleaned throughly inside and outside. All the windows and screens were cakeda ml with dust and dirty. The ceiling fans are all completely dirty, left over food was found between the couch and Coffee table. Towels were wet and folded nicely. The location is beautiful and views of the ocean amazing. I questioned why almost everything outside was chained and locked outside and every window had wooden dowels until someone came onto the property and stole personal belongings from the backyard and tossed the ladder that was leaning against a palm tree into the bushes near by and anything not chained together. There is a homeless camp a few houses down to the left and a large homeless camp on Anahola bay beach to the right, Read the reviews of that beach. The management offered to have the house cleaned but I prefer to check into somewhere clean before I arrive and not have to have it cleaned while I’m there. After notifying them of things going missing and things being tossed about in the backyard, They suggested I use all the window dowels at night to be safe... and to make a police report. Not something you want to do while on vacation. I cannot recommend this location my wife was scared to leave, worried about sleeping at night. If things weren’t stolen, the house was cleaned, and homeless camps weren’t on either side I would stay again.

Great place to stay

The house was just as advertised . Excellent location right on the beach . Watched sunrise every morning sipping a cup of coffee. House was well stocked with all needed supplies plus beach chairs. Would definitely stay again !!!

The Beach accessories included snorkel equipment, beach towels, beach chairs - just about anything you could want. And the location was hard to beat. Direct access to a nice beach with lots of rocks as well for exploring the tidepools.

Perfect Location

This house is exactly as shown on the website. If you are looking for quiet, this is where you want to be, it's not a tourist town, it's a quiet residential neighborhood. The kitchen had everything you need to cook, the rooms are air conditioned for sleeping. The beach is very private and it's a great walking beach, the ocean is a bit rocky in front of the house but you can find some sandy spots to go in and most of the time there was hardly anyone on the beach. We would absolutely stay here again.
