Everything was great with the accommodation and communication was excellent. Unfortunately the weather was not good but we did glimpse the view, million dollar view is absolutely correct.
This property and location was awesome.I recommend this for husband and wife to reconnect and family to reconnect spend time on the porch cook meals together and enjoy yard gamesShort drive to Mayberry to walk the street and go in shops Thank you for opening and sharing your home with us to have that great experience of the awesome view and quietness to just set and take in nature
We had a very relaxing stay at this property which was perfect for us - an elderly couple. We had everything we needed and fantastic views. We stayed 4 days and cooked every night. The kitchen was very well stocked. The water pressure could have been better, but we managed. It was so quiet & peaceful that we hated to leave!
This property has an absolutely gorgeous view. The place was very clean, had everything you need to cook a meal the beds are comfortable. Nature abounds everywhere you look. Thank you for a wonderful visis2would definitely book again.
The bed was a few minutes nches off the floor. Everything needs to be updated. We had several bites on us. Not sure what bug it was. We treated as bed bugs. The view is a million dollar view. If you are looking for deer and a beautiful view stay here
Stayed for only 1 night on our way home from a work conference, so we didn't do anything around the area. Great place to just sit on the deck and take in the views. Perfect quick stop for a little relaxation before starting the work week.
The house was clean and had the basics if you wanted to cook, etc.. Wifi worked well. Bed was comfortable.
The only recommendation would be to have an iron/ironing board (unless there was one and I just couldn't find it).
The three of us (all age 66) had an excellent stay. We spent most of our time there on the deck enjoying the view -- even on cloudy/rainy days. Beds/bedrooms were comfortable. Everything was clean. The inside living area was also comfortable. My sister cooked a nice meal and found the kitchen served her needs just fine. One night we enjoyed the comfortable living room while watching a movie on the big TV. Not too far away (driving) are some nice walking trails. Pilot Mountain State park is an easy day trip and for those who enjoy hiking and great views it is a worthwhile endeavor. Shopping in quaint stores in Mount Airy is another easy day trip. Even better -- some stores very close by are excellent . We especially enjoyed the store named "Calamity Jane's." They had an excellent variety of clothing, outdoor gear, and gifts. The owner's were especially friendly, helpful, and engaging. Speaking of owners, the host of the property was also excellent. Everything went so well during our visit, there weren't really any needs to contact the host, but the little communication we did have was quick, helpful, and pleasant. I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.
We are a family of four living in Cary, NC. Our favorite family activity is hiking. We travel near and far to visit national and state parks and various trails. Two kids have collected many Junior Ranger badges. As the kids grew older and got busier with schools and activities planning a long trip became less practical. We decided to find a place close enough for a weekend getaway. After a long period of searching, we found our first vacation home, Joy Ranch Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains which we were able to share with others while not occupying it, for them to wind down, get refreshed, recharged, reunited with friends, family, and mother nature, and to find their true selves.
Then we came across Million-Dollar View, a place to soak in stillness and embrace the grandeur of landscape and an experience to share with our aging parents, relatives, and friends with physical constraints who could only see the depicted scenery in images
On a crisp autumn morning, I was busy raking leaves while my boy picked up fallen twigs. The valleys below were veiled in a delicate blanket of mist. A falcon with its wings outstretched effortlessly navigating the sky and carving its presence in the boundless expanse. “We’ve walked miles and miles of trails just to get a view like this. Next time we should come here instead.” My boy murmured while staring at the vibrant foliage in hues of red, orange, and gold. I turned around and followed his gaze: “life is a journey, the experiences and moments along the way are more rewarding than just reaching a particular endpoint.” In the distance, the falcon stopped momentarily, suspended in the air, then dived down into the valley, turning from a distinct shape into a tiny dot against the vast landscape…
