Quiet neighborhood with wildlife roaming - you will see deer and sometimes, fox, bear, bobcat, etc. Large wrap-around deck (brand new in 2012) for BBQing, sunny morning breakfasts, entertaining and dining. Enjoy the outdoor fountain near the front porch in the spring and summer. Plenty of sleeping space with five large bedrooms and a futon in downstairs family room. Kitchen is newly renovated with all new stainless steel appliances. Big basement walks out to large patio (brand new in 2012) and has pool table, ping pong, darts, games and large screen HDTV.

Owned by Colorado Springs natives who are happy to offer entertainment ideas and local information. Easy access to I-25, allowing you to get to all the great Colorado Springs area attractions sooner than later. Only 15 mins to US Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado College and Old Colorado City. Only 20-30 mins to Manitou Springs and Pikes Peak attractions and 1 hr to downtown Denver. Want to ski/snowboard? Only 2 1/2 hrs to Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin and Monarch. White water rafting on the Arkansas is only 1 hr away.

About The Owner

We have lived in Colorado Springs most of our lives and enjoy all that the Colorado mountains have to offer - biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding/skiing, etc. The city itself has a lot to offer as well from the fun Downtown/Colorado College area, to funky Old Colorado City, to even more funky Manitou Springs. The new University Village area near UCCS, only 5 mins from the house, also has a lot - shopping, huge variety of restaurants (both local and chain), Trader Joe's, Costco, etc.

Why The Owner chose Colorado Springs

It's a nice house with lots of space both inside and out, lots of natural light, and in a quiet suburban neighborhood with mature landscaping, close to I-25 so easy to get almost anywhere in the city and beyond. The neighborhood has many large, open spaces with trails, lots of trees and lots of wildlife.

What makes this house unique

Offered by 20-yr homeowner, who keeps the house up as a home and stays there several times per year. No sterile rental offered by large management company! So much to see close to the house ... hiking and mountain biking in Ute Valley Park or Garden of the Gods, exploring the Air Force Academy ... conveniently located near major highways to get to the mountains and their slopes, Denver attractions and sporting events, shopping, U.S. Olympic Training Center, and much more! We also love the mature landscaping, the front fountain and the fact that the house is very private even though it's in a neighborhood, with no neighbors on the back and one side of the house.

Colorado is Awsome!!

We loved our stay in this HOMEY home away from home. It accommodated our family well. I would definately stay here again. I would definately use VRBO again. Colorado Springs has so much to offer. This home is in a quiet neighborhood and so close to what ever you want to do. We didn't get to do all we would have liked, but we skiied at Ski Cooper, rode the train at the Royal Gorge, toured the cliff dwellings and the museum, and hiked at Garden of the Gods. It was all wonderful. We would love to come back in the summer time sometime. We did not have any issues dealing with the owners of this house. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! The Adams

Family wedding trip

The floor plan of the house was extremely well suited to our singles/couples/kids situation, and we were able to have local and visiting family over to eat, thanks to the large kitchen, excellent traffic flow pattern, and the wonderful back porch off of the breakfast area. The bathrooms were adequate and well situated, and the downstairs recreation area was much enjoyed. The neighborhood was nice, with a nature trail right on the side of the yard. Close to good grocery stores and shopping. Overall, it was well worth it, and very enjoyable!

Spacious and lovely home

This home was convenient to many things to do in the area and was so nice for each of us to have a separate bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked so it was easy to dine in but was also close to many great restaurants.

Warning though- house has many steps so would not be great for anyone needing help getting up and down stairs.

Ideal location with all the comforts of home.

Very clean and well maintained with top notch customer service. The caretaker lives just across the street and was Johnny-on-the-spot with helpful answers and assistance when we needed it. The ideal location provides for ready access to Garden Of The Gods and Manitou Springs. And the walking trail along the property leads to a school with lots of level green space and tennis courts. We also really enjoyed climbing to the top of Blodgett Peak which is accessed from the Blodgett Peak Open Space parking area that is just a few minutes away. The central location also provides for ready access to the Air Force Academy, downtown and the Chapel Hills mall. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to friends and family.

Perfect place for a family reunion

Thank you Natalie for making our family reunion so amazing! The house is functional, comfortable, and the kids had a wonderful time, whether it was the hammock in the back or pool table in the basement. It's close enough to every Colorado Springs attraction. I have to give major props to Natalie and the owners for making the access instructions super clear, and the welcome binder was very detailed about everything.
