Sophie's has been completely remodeled. Welcome to Sophie's Cottage, a peaceful waterfront retreat. The cottages is a vacation place for families or a romantic getaway for couples. There are 2 private bedrooms and 2 bathrooms: 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 queen bed and queen sleeper sofa in pool side room. This room is not closed off see pictuers. 1 full size sofa bed in living room,they have gel foam mattresses. The dining room, living room and den all make a cohesive space for entertainment or relaxing. Step out back to a paved patio, private heated pool, and view of the canal. The patio area has ample seating, and makes a great place for entertainment or outdoor dining. The front porch is screened in for privacy. The cottage is within walking and biking distance to the beach and the Siesta Key Village. Sophie's Cottage gives you easy access to vibrant local attractions, shops, restaurants and relaxing days on the beach. Whether you spend your days wandering through the shops or enjoying the beautiful beach, you will have a tranquil retreat to return to at the end of your day. Beach chairs and tables, 3 bikes,3 kayaks, 2 yoga mats and a gas grill for cookouts are included.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little cottage! It was spotless and well equipped, the beds were comfy , and the back yard and pool were gorgeous. Our host , Jim , was so kind and helpful. We would definitely stay again!!

Perfect place to stay. 1 mile to the village and beach access. We loved making our own meals in the grill and swimming in the pool.

We enjoyed all the extra touches the owner provided, the place was well stocked with items to improve our stay, such as beach items, bathroom items, spices and kitchen supplies.The house and pool were both clean and well maintained.The location to the beach and the village were great.

Great spring break spot

We had two 4 person families share this place for spring break. The location was great and the frog hopper knew our address to get around. The beach is a 15 minute walk away and the village is about a 20 minute walk. The property manager communicated regularly and we had a great experience.

Beautiful place in the perfect area!

This home is paradise and just a short walk to the beach. The pool is lovely, clean and the Adirondack chairs are such a nice way to enjoy it. The house is well equiped for a group as well.

Pristine Cottage

We had a fantastic stay at Sophie's Cottage. The entire home has been renovated and is pristine and immaculate. The pool and backyard are breathtaking with an amazing view of the canal. The owner, Jim, is high class and ensured we had everything we needed to start our vacation; bikes, chairs, beach towels. Great communications with him. He provides everything you need to have a memorable stay. The home is perfectly located near the beach and village. Definitely will return!

Honeymoon paradise

Jim was a fantastic host for me and my new wife. The property was as advertised and a perfect location for privacy and accessibility to the neighborhood. We will hopefully be going back at some point in the near future for a return trip , 10/10!

Great family fun trip!

We had an amazing time at Sophie’s Cottage. We lucked out and got a renovated home due to the Hurricanes. The proximity to the beach and town are great. Short bike ride to both. Jim, the owner, helped us immediately with any issues. Our kids caught snappers, catfish, jacks, sting rays and needle fish off of the dock of the home. Great time, great home, great location!!!

True Siesta Key Charm

Our stay at Sophie’s Cottage was perfect. The home is spacious and well equipped. The outdoor living area provided extra space to enjoy and entertain. The heated pool, patio and kayaks were put to great use! The house is on a quiet street with close access to the beach and village. Jim was extremely kind and responsive. We will definitely stay at Sophie’s Cottage again!

100% Recommend!

Hands down one of the cleanest rentals we stayed in! Sophie’s Cottage was the perfect size for our family of 4 adults and 2 kids (11 & 13). The canal kept my boys busy with fishing and kayaking, while we were able to enjoy the nice pool right there beside them. The bikes were great for a morning stroll or to ride up to the village. This was the first time my family flew to a beach vacation and we had everything we needed. Jim, the owner, is very accommodating and communication is top notch! Siesta Key Beach was beautiful, and plenty of beach space! Highly recommend Sophie’s Cottage!

We love this place!!

The house had just been completely renovated due to the recent hurricane damage. Jim did an excellent job with everything to make sure our stay was top-notch. All the furnishings and appliances were brand new. We took the bikes out every day to Siesta Key Beach, which was just down the street. Absolutely amazing, and it took under 5 minutes! The rental location is very close (less than 1 mile) to fun restaurants in Siesta Key Village, with lot's of great bars and shopping. This place has it all! Pool, privacy, and perfect location, right down the street from the best beach in the USA, with all the amenities that you need. We will definitely come back! - Wendy & Chris

What a very lovely place, great location, exceptional owner!

We spent February at Sophie's Cottage and found it incredible. Newly remodeled (after the hurricanes), the vintage Siesta Key cottage is just perfect for our needs and wants. New mattresses (upscale and very comfortable), new appliances, HVAC works great, with plentiful TV's and connections, what more could we ask for? Not very much, as the location against the canal, with a heated pool, and chairs, was the perfect place to find warmth from the cold winter weather elsewhere. The landscaping is quite nice, with irrigation, and the cottage is close enough to the Village (and beach) that walking is not a chore, but enjoyable and easy. The vintage cottage was built in the early days of Siesta Key, but not's not a negative, as the upgrading and remodeling make it truly modern. Interestingly, however, there is a piece of original "pink" Siesta Key sidewalk just at the property's edge. We have no relationship with the owner, so take this review as it is from a renter's perspective, that we had a great time and are going back. Can't beat Siesta Key, nor Sophie's Cottage, its location and amenities!

Paradise Found in Siesta Key – Perfect for Families and Friends!

Our stay at this charming Siesta Key cottage was absolutely unforgettable! My wife, my two sisters, and I found it to be the perfect getaway for both relaxation and adventure.From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout the property. Inside, the home was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and stocked with everything we needed—from a well-appointed kitchen to cozy gathering spaces. Outside, the setup was just as inviting, with plenty of seating and shady spots to enjoy morning coffee or evening chats.The private pool was a standout feature—crystal clear and perfect for a dip any time of day. Whether we were floating, swimming, or lounging poolside, it felt like our own little oasis.The beach go-kit was a game-changer! The included wagon, chairs, umbrella, and cooler made beach days a breeze. Siesta Key’s powdery white sand and turquoise waters were just a short walk or quick bike ride away, and we went every day.One of our favorite parts of the trip was exploring the serene waterway just steps from the back door. The kayaks provided allowed us to peacefully glide along the mangroves—and we were lucky enough to spot manatees up close! It was a magical experience none of us will forget.The bicycles were also a great perk, making it easy to explore the island, grab ice cream, or head to the village for dinner.This cottage truly had it all—comfort, style, convenience, and access to the very best of Siesta Key. Cozy canal location-short bike ride to so much Siesta Key has to offer!

This canal side cottage was a perfect retreat for busy people like us! Two weeks in June - perfect! It's super close to the Siesta Key Village, in fact we enjoyed riding up on the bikes they provided, hopping in for a few groceries and riding back, or riding up for dinner and music! We also rode up for the sunset ceremony at the pier. It is close, but not too close! The street was quiet, and we slept well! Nice beds/bedding, plenty of towels and such. The great surprise is that the road from the cottage to the beach lines up to a perfect beach access spot (Beach Access 11) which is nestled between two busier beach access areas, providing an oasis with much fewer tents and people and a lovely wide open view of amazing sand and gorgeous water. We appreciated the chairs and wagon for toting beach gear since we flew down! We greatly enjoyed using the kayaks provided throughout the canal and spotted manatee and interesting fish and birds while seeing the beautiful homes on the canal from the water. The cottage looks just like the pictures, the pool is so nice apres beach! Also, at night it was a delight to float under the stars. The kitchen is bright and overlooks the pool and has plenty for the chef to work with, we loved picking up fresh fish and searing up delicious meals to eat by the pool. The owner and team were very responsive and provided excellent communication. We felt nestled, supported, and had a wonderful time! We highly recommend this Siesta Key cottage!

adorable cottage/house

We had a wonderful vacation at Sophie's Cottage. everything was just like pictured and then some. We loved the pool. It was the perfect size for us!!! slight issue at first with the heater but once I notified them, maintenance came out the same day and got it right!! now that's service!! our favorite part was sitting on the dock around 6:00 when it cooled down and there was a wonderful breeze coming up the cannel every day. Maybe it's a September thing? Beach was within walking distance and village is more biking distance. We would stay here again for sure!!!! Oh and maybe you will get to meet the next door neighbor Barbara. She is 80 years old but what an inspiration and truly a lovely woman with lots of good stories!

Perfect stay on the canal in Siesta Key

We had a wonderful week at Sophie's Cottage. It is a very comfortable, cozy and clean 2BR 2BA cottage that is a short walk or bike ride to the beach (3-4 bikes included with rental!). And upon your return you can lounge in the private backyard or enjoy swimming in the beautiful pool or kayaking / paddleboarding in the canal off your own dock (kayaks and boards included!). A special shout-out to the friendly folks at Cottage on the Key, who made our entire rental experience so pleasant and effortless, and provided us with a special welcome gift (gourmet cupcakes!). We definitely plan to return to Sophie's Cottage as soon as possible!

Wonderful little cottage

We had a great time in Sieata Key. Having a pool and place right on the canal was great. It's close to the beach and close to the village. We walked or road bike every day. Bikes were provided. Very cute decor and comfy beds. Would highly recommend!
