About Mark Feist
The property owner has lived all over the world. He enjoys people of every color and ethnicity. He settled in Austin 18 years ago and knows the city very well. He has been known to have a glass of wine and share his local knowledge on occasion.
Mark Feist purchased this Apartment in 1995
Why Mark Feist chose North University
This property is in Aldridge Place between the University of Texas and Hyde Park. It was Austin's first planned development with many of the homes designated as historic. One of the most notable features is Adams / Hemphill Park that runs through it's center. The history of Adams-Hemphill Park dates to 1912, when Lewis Hancock (1856-1920) donated more than two acres along Hemphill Creek for use as a park. Hancock, who served as mayor of Austin from 1895-1897, was an influential figure at the turn of the twentieth century. Hancock donated the land for Hemphill Park when he began selling tracts of land in the Aldridge Place neighborhood in 1912.
What makes this Apartment unique

Good location, clean and quiet neighborhood. We were in town for a festival and didn’t stay at the place much but it worked out perfectly. Thank you
Mark's place is great. Very cozy, centric location. Pretty easy to get around the city from here, just north of the University off of Guadalupe. The apartment covers your essentials, and Mark is super accommodating if you need anything else. He also knows Austin like the back of his hand and will steer you in the right direction for what you're looking for in the city. I hope to visit Austin again, and soon and would definitely come back.
Thanks for staying with us! It was great meeting you, Patrizia, and the boys. Come back and see us anytime!
Great location, just don't look to get too comfortable.
The experience fell a bit short of expectations based on the glowing reviews. It was very clean, well located, and the operators written instructions were very helpful. We were disappointed to have no contact with the owner, and the place is a little tired and hard. Our overall visit to the area was great, and in another season this place would likely be fine, but for the money we just wish we could review it a bit more positively.
Hi David, Thank you for staying with us over New Years. As I explained during your visit, I had family in town for the holiday so was only able to stop by once when we missed one another. Sorry you were here for the snow... I know you were expecting nicer weather.
Please come back & visit during warmer weather!
This was the perfect little place. The apartment had everything I needed while I visited my daughter. I enjoyed my stay. Quiet neighborhood. Next time I visit Austin, I will see if it is available.
Super Central Austin Spot
We spent 5 nights here and totally enjoyed our stay. Great location to restaurants, grocery stores, UT, downtown. Mark was responsive to questions and very accommodating to allow us to check out late. The apartment is really very charming and super clean. The kitchen was well stocked. I especially appreciated all the paper supplies and soap products, something many rentals expect you to supply. The only thing to be aware of is there are two units, one upstairs and one downstairs. We were downstairs. When there were guests upstairs you could here everything (walking on the floors, toilets flushing, etc). Just something you have to live with in older construction. If you are really sensitive to noise, you might keep that in mind if you are interested in the lower unit. The noise didn't bother me much but it did bother my husband (or plan to bring ear plugs). Overall a super place and great value. We highly recommend and will stay here again during our next visit to Austin.
Comfortable and Convenient
This apartment is comfortable and convenient to UT and many excellent Austin restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need should you choose to cook instead. We've enjoyed staying here twice and hope to return. Thanks!
Thanks Kathleen! Please come again!
