About this property

Lovely house in the country 45 km from Bogota airport

Our home 6 months of the year so fully furnished with 2 car carport, electric washer dryer combo, excellent filtered water, new large refrigerator, excellent hot water, wi fi internet, large tv with excelllent streaming, game room with billiard table, gas and charcoal bbq, and hot jacuzzi. Maid service 3 days a week and gardener included.
The condominium has excellent security with a guarded gate. There is a club house with pool, sauna, turko, ping pong table, pool table, and small dance area. Setting up now a pickleball court. Walk 2.5 km to center of Silvania and have a breakfast of soup with rib meat, eggs, a croisant and hot chocolate for 3 dollars.

Navy officer for 6 years then asphalt pavinjg and concrete contractor for 38 years. Retired to Ajijic, Mexico. Married a Colombian woman and started spending time in Colombia. Visited Silvania and found a house we both fell in love with. Bought the house and decided to spend 6 months here in Colombia and 6 months in Mexico. We therefore have a beautiful house to rent for the 6 months we are away.

Why they chose this property

Our condominium Los Alpes is perfect. Beautiful flowers everywhere, There is great security with guarded gate, large pool, clubhouse with coffee shop open on the weekends, sauna, turko, ping pong table, pool table, and small dance area. We have our own chapel with Mass on Sundays. There is a basketballl and pickleball court. The neighbors are very nice and I have found good friends here.

What makes this property unique

We are in an area of tropical mountain forest at 5,000 ft elevation. The weather is cool in the evenings and comfortably warm in the day time. The countryside all around is beautiful and the view from our balcony is amazing. Every morning at 500 garzas fly by to the south and return at dusk. Traffic is light and walking 2.5 km to town or around the local hills is easy. Fusa, a town of 115,000 is only 8 km away and Bogota is 45 km away. Anything you might need is reasonably close.
