We had a wonderful stay in this heavenly home overlooking the gorgeous sunset cliffs! We will be back. Great location, parking, beds and comfort.

Very communicative host and the view was great as advertised. Otherwise, we were pretty disappointed in the state of the property. We knew we were renting a house that hadn’t been renovated, but pictures were misleading as to cleanliness. Not in dead-bugs-on-the-floor or dirty-sheets-on-the-bed kind of way, but in the sense that the house simply needed some serious deep cleaning. Every baseboard, corner, wall and door looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in ages. Broken windows and doors—the window in the front bedroom dangerously so. There was a flimsy stick to prop it open and I nearly smashed my fingers when it fell (I’m lucky the glass didn’t shatter). There are a fair number of yard pics—being outdoors anytime of year is part of the appeal of San Diego. We had no desire to spend one minute in this back yard. The plants and trees are all diseased, dying or dead—it doesn’t look like anything has been watered or that a landscaper has been there in years. A real shame. We left a day early.

Amazing Home and Location

We absolutely loved our stay at this Sunset Cliffs gem! The location was perfect – just a few blocks from the cliffs and offering spectacular ocean views. The house had everything we needed and more, with a super cool mid-century ranch style that felt both updated and full of vintage character. The outdoor spaces were a highlight: a cozy, garden-like yard and a fabulous rooftop deck. Sea World happened to be doing nightly fireworks while we were there, which was a wonderful bonus! One magical evening, we spotted two great horned owls right in the yard and heard all sorts of wild calls – pretty sure some owl romance was happening!Inside, the home has an amazing “wandering” feel, with rooms flowing into each other and multiple vantage points for enjoying the scenery. We especially loved the large glass corner windows in both the living room and the master suite – the views were incredible. Everything was exactly as described, spotless, and well-maintained. This is a five-star stay all around, and we’d come back in a heartbeat!
