We enjoyed our vacation very much. The house was clean and well equipped. Management was easy to reach, but we only needed to contact them for earlier check-in. Instructions were thorough and easy to find.

The location of this home was perfect for quick access to three beaches. The wagon, boogie boards, chairs, etc made beach time perfect for our family. The house easily accommodated our family of 11, 6 afults and 5 kids. Our entire family had a great vacation. We did have an issue with a water leak, but they were quick to come and repair it, as well as installing a new ceiling fan that was not working. If we are ever on Kauai afain, we will certainly stay here again. Mahalo for an amazing stay.

We had a very relaxing stay. Plenty of room in the house, though the kitchen was a little small. The house and kitchen were fully stocked . Morning walks in thr cool weather were a highlight of the trip. We also loved the turtles and seals resting on the beach. Poipu never disappoints.

Beautiful, quiet location!

The location was so great! And there was plenty of room for our friends/family group of 13. The only thing was that we didn't seem to have enough sheets for the pull out couches, and we would have liked to have a few more towels. But overall, it was a fantastic stay, with beautiful beaches within walking distance.

Aloha and mahalo for your kind review! We're so glad to hear your group had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the convenient and scenic walks to the nearby beaches—sunset dinners sound amazing! Thank you for the helpful note about the downstairs bathroom—we’ll be sure to take care of the toilet seal right away. We also wanted to mention that there were extra sheet sets for the pullout couches in zippered storage bags, but we understand they may have been easy to miss. We've since added even more sets, so future guests will be well-covered. We’d love to welcome you back anytime—mahalo again for choosing to stay with us!

Aloha for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the home felt humid in the evenings. This property does not have air conditioning, and we try to make that clear in the listing so guests know what to expect before booking. Many of our homes do include A/C, while others rely on trade winds, fans, and open design for cooling. On Kauaʻi, A/C can be challenging in certain homes due to building design, HOA restrictions, or the island’s commitment to conserving energy. We always note whether a home has A/C so guests can choose the property that best fits their comfort preferences. We truly appreciate your comments, and we’ll continue to review ways to improve airflow and guest comfort in this home.

The house was nice but the floors were not clean/mopped at all and probably not for quite a while-filthy. There were gardeners at the house when we arrived at 4:05 pm and didn’t leave until 4:40 pm. They were parked in the driveway and we had to squeeze in since we were not allowed to park on the street. There was also road construction going on, which we were not notified about, and the detour added another 8 minutes to our commute to and from anywhere for the first 5 days of our stay. Was a little disappointed, this was our entire family vacation in 13 years!
That’s only after being in the house less than an hour upon arrival.

Great stay in Kauai

We loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was the perfect place for our big family trip with 6 adults (three couples) and 3 kiddos of tween and teen ages. Rooms and bathrooms were great, kitchen had more than everything we needed for cooking at home, and we really appreciated the extra beach equipment like chairs, umbrellas and toys we could grab from the garage. The home suited all of our various needs, and we so enjoyed our stay! We had no issues at all. Clean home, excellent directions provided for check in and check out. Fantastic, central location near Poipu Beach, restaurants, and shopping. Walking trails were fun to be able to access the neighborhood pool and stroll over to the Grand Hyatt property. Gorgeous grounds and wonderful experience!

Great location and everything we needed for our trip

The property was as described. If I could change any one thing it would be having air conditioning! Although the property has many windows and the winds in the Poipu Beach area never let up during our stay, the temperature in the house generally never dropped below 80 at night. The property managers were extremely prompt on communications during our stay. We even had a non-property related need and they were able to assist us! We are very thankful for their help. The property had everything we needed for our stay, including beach chairs and boogie boards and a wagon which got plenty of use! The location was ideal for us. We made many trips to Koloa Town and the north side of the island never took more than an hour to get to. Watching the sunrise at Shipwreck Beach and watching the turtles come to shore at Poipu Beach in the evenings was a highlight for us!

Great Home

Property is plenty spacious for our family of 12. Location is within 5-7 minutes walking distance to Shipwreck’s Beach and very close drive to Poipu Beach. The kitchen is fully equipped; plenty of electric fans and ceiling fans for ventilation. Our stay was comfortable and there were beach toys, umbrellas, chairs, water shoes etc available to use. The kitchen is fully stocked. When we were there, however, the dishwasher didn’t work so that was a bummer, and a replacement dishwasher was not available right away. I think that problem should be fixed by now. Refrigerator’s water and ice dispensers were not working either, but we made do. Kauai is a beautiful place and Poipu Beach was exceptional for the little ones. Our stay, overall, was positive. Kōloa Kai property management was exceptional! They were easy to communicate with!

Mahalo for your thoughtful review! We're so happy to hear that the home provided plenty of space for your family and that you enjoyed the convenient location near Shipwreck’s and Poipu Beach. It’s great to know the kitchen setup, fans, and beach gear helped make your stay comfortable. We truly appreciate your patience regarding the dishwasher and refrigerator issues. We understand how important these amenities are, and we’re happy to share that the dishwasher has since been replaced, and the refrigerator has been serviced. Kauai is indeed a special place, and we’re thrilled that you and your family had a wonderful time exploring its beauty. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to the Kōloa Kai property management team—they’ll be delighted to hear that they made a positive impact on your stay!
