We had a very good time , Gore Mt. is about 30min. great skiing. Snowmobile rides are about 15 min. House is nice and clean, plenty of room for eight of us. Two fire places were kept us warm excellent . Todd, owner is very good guy , he even brought few extra electric heaters because temperature was in minus. We really enjoyed the stay and we are lookin forward to stay again next winter.
Our family wanted to go on a vacation together so renting a house was the answer. Our family at this point is 6 adults but there was plenty of room outside to play if you have children. The rental was clean, spacious and a great location. Brant lake was close and my family had great fun fishing there. We used the canoe that was at the house and it worked out great.
We were a short drive from many attractions Lake George, Lake Placid, Stone Bridge and other hiking areas. We had a great time checking out some of the area streams for fly fishing. The location is quiet but close to sightseeing areas.
Todd was very easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. The fire pit was used every night. We were also very grateful for the dish washer because I forgot to bring the paper plates. We did not have much in the way of cell service (my favorite part) but we did have wifi which was great for checking out places to go. There is a small beach with in the little town area and the Hub serves good sandwiches and several craft beers.
For a first time experience I am so glad we chose Brant Lake! I would recommend it to anyone.
My sisters and I wanted to get our families together for Memorial Day weekend (2017) so we started searching online for a place that would be equal driving distance for each of us. We had a hard time finding a place that would sleep our group(technically 12) and would accept dogs. Since four of the 12 people were kids and we'd really only be "sleeping" 8 I just started calling to ask if they'd make an exception. I think Todd was my third phone call and without hesitation he said "absolutely, not a problem!" Other owners wouldn't make an exception even though I explained that there were 8 adults, a four year old that would sleep on an air mattress and the three little ones would have pack-n-plays. I mentioned to Todd that there was a possibility one of the other families would bring their dog too he didn't have any problems just a few requests about picking up after them which was obviously understandable. Todd is a really nice guy and was very reachable during the whole thing which was a total of 5 months since we booked in January. He even checked in with me to see how everything was going. We had no problems at the house!! The yard was huge and the perfect size for playing fetch with the dog and the backyard has a nice fire pit. There were even chairs available around it. There is a canoe on the premises which 2 of the guys and the four year old immediately scooped up and headed down to the dock. They put the canoe in the back of one of the trucks and drove down the dock. They could have easily carried it since it wasn't too far from the house but they were bringing the little boy so decided to drive. This house was more than enough room for our families, everything was clean and comfortable. There is sun room off the back that we kept the dog in when he wasn't outside so he didn't shed or track dirt all over the house. I can't say enough good things about this place and about Todd. We'd like to make this a tradition so if we decide on Brant Lake for next year then I will certainly be calling Todd.
