Family Vacation

Everything about this place was beautiful. The entrance is amazing. Check-in was very easy and everyone is very nice. The property manager Gerardo was very nice and gave us an explanation of all the rules and showed us the condo. He was very attentive and told us that if we needed anything to just give him a call. Everything was super clean. The location is amazing and it’s only about a block and a half away from 5ta Avenida. We would definitely return to this spot.

Overall Pretty Good

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a good experience, the pool was awesome and the location was great. The property was clean and it was nice to have extra space. When we arrived, we were greeted promptly. However, the water tank which is supposed to be full was empty, we notified the property management but no one ever came to fill it, so we just bought our own water.

Disappointing and tired apartment

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The positives of this apartment is it’s spacious with a large table and sofa as described with large bathrooms and very comfortable beds with gorgeous linens. Unfortunately the apartment was not clean on arrival, the terrace was dirty, the bathrooms sinks were blocked with hair so didn’t drain away, the drains stank, the kitchen was filthy, it was full of mosquitoes and cockroaches when we turned up and this is not where the disappointment ends. The apartment was falling apart, the showers facets were all broken and the heads were clogged up and water came out randomly, the microwave oven was completely broken so a small substitute microwave on the worktop was provided, the aircon made the most horrendous whining sound that prevented us having it on at night and the hot water wasn’t working. The hot water was fixed but this resulted in the tank leaking and flooding the kitchen which we had to wade through for 24 hours as they wouldn’t come and fix it. The aircon apparently was an issue with the apartment block which was absolute rubbish as I went in another apartment and it wasn’t like this, so the lady from Playamoments was just lying. The other thing I would warn renters is the towels are very low quality, extremely worn with stains, there are no pads on the sunbeds so they are just hard wood which are splintered and rotting (not as in the picture) and the kitchen is not fully equipped as described. The cutlery and crockery was sparse, there is no kettle, no toaster, no dishwasher, no oven, no tea towels provided, no washing machine, no dryer and no essentials where provided except one jar of very old coffee that was a disgrace as the few teaspoons left where solid in the bottom!

A week with friends in PDC

Reviewer Comments: We just returned from a week long stay at this property in PDC, and for the most part our group of 4 adults (50-ish) very much enjoyed our stay.The Good:The location is terrific, closer to the beach than we thought it would be, and within a few minutes walk to 5th Avenue where all of the majority of the commercial restaurant, bar and shopping activity is located. There are a variety of convenience stores within steps of the front entrance, where you can secure your water, food basics, snacks, beer, liquor, etc for reasonable prices.The condo building has a resort style pool for the guests to use; it was never overly busy and not rowdy, but offers a swim up bar and some drink and food items. This unit we stayed at was quite spacious; the rooms, bathrooms and common areas were of a good size, but the outdoor patio and pool area was fantastic. The pools in many of the adjacent units were much smaller, but this one allowed us all to stretch out and relax without feeling crowded. I would say it would comfortably accommodate 8-10 people. The four chaise lounges are sturdy with supportive cushions. The outdoor dining table seats six comfortably, with another small conversation area. There are numerous large plants/palms offering privacy from the next door unit and neighbouring buildings.We all thought the beds were top shelf in terms of comfort, with quality bedding included. Televisions are modern however we didn't use them. The kitchen offered a refrigerator, cook top, microwave, blender, panini grill and a water cooler/dispenser.The Not So GoodThe location is across the street from another hotel Reef 28 that plays obnoxiously loud rooftop untz untz pool music all afternoon every day.For the culinary-inclined (as we are) the kitchen has no oven or dishwasher.There was a leak issue from above that had water coming through the ceilings in both bathrooms, causing mold to grow on the wall. We brought this up the first day and

Can't beat the location.

Reviewer Comments: Amamos ese lugar, nos quedamos encantados por el diseño único del espacio y por la hermosa alberca privada que fue el top durante nuestras vacaciones de cuarentena! lo mejor de todo a parte de la ubicación fueron las atenciones brindadas por parte del personal que en todo momento estuvo pendiente con las debidas precauciones nos ha hecho sentir tranquilas y consentidas en el departamento! ya hemos aconsejado la agencia y esta propiedad a nuestros amigos más cercanos y familia y por seguro volveremos a visitarlos pronto!! muchas gracias!

Convenient, friendly and chic! with amazing private pool.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a great time at Aldea Thai. The location was perfect, right behind Kool Beach Club. We had an ENORMOUS 2 BEDROOM WITH HUGE TERRACE APARTMENT, which I found to be quite spacious, with high ceilings and comfortable beds. The bathroom was very convenient with frosted glass doors on the shower and toilet, so you could be in the shower and another person could come in and use the toilet without bothering you. Staff was very friendly and gave us champagne on our arrival, and were quick to respond to any requests we had. We didn't have any problems with hot water, and were able to take long, hot showers. The housekeepers made towel animals (like on cruise ships) with flower petals on our beds on our second day there, which was cute. The pool is nice, and has a shallow section where you can lay out and sunbathe in the water.The building itself is beautiful, with cool Asian touches everywhere. And it's perfectly situated: at the northern tip of the tourist area, 2 blocks off of 5th - close enough to walk to everything on 5th or even into town, but completely peaceful at night. We found the service to be extremely friendly, from the valets to the concierge to the front desk. Daniel was particularly helpful (and he's always there - we wondered if management ever gives him a day off!). We got a great price direct on the site of playa I don't think I've stayed anywhere as nice for what we paid. I can't wait to go back!

A Fabulous Weekend

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed here with my four girlfriends for my Bachelorette weekend. We found its location perfect for a quiet time away. It was busy where one can feel safe walking at night but far enough from the busy night life where one can still get a good night sleep. I would highly recommend having your fridge fully stocked by the staff ahead of time, which is an option, because there are no close grocery stores and the one close by is very busy, low in good quality food, and overpriced. It completely threw off our plans for the first day as a quick grocery run took about 3 hours. The property was very clean and taken care of. The pool itself was a bit dirty and we had requested to have it cleaned but no one ever came. We eventually still went in because that was one of the main reasons we picked this property and the water was pretty warm which was nice. The staff was amazing though! Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.
