We love this beautiful piece of property and cabin. It is so peaceful and relaxing and the owners are quick to respond when I have questions and helpful with any other suggestions. One of our favorite places to stay
We throughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin is situated perfectly in a very private and quiet location with a beautiful flowing creek within steps of the front door! We are already planning for our next visit to this cabin! The cabin was very well stocked with so many amenities and very clean and comfortable. The owner responded to all of my questions within minutes and was very courteous.
Clean nice cabin. Loved the screened in porch area. Fire pit, creek area. Road going in was a little rough so glad we drove our truck and not our car that’s low to ground. Other that that we enjoyed everything.
This is the cutest cabin and the perfect mountain getaway. We loved the peacefulness of the property-even in the chilly rain! Listening to the creek and nature was just what we needed and my dogs had a blast! All communication was quick and the hosts answered all of questions before and during my stay. Can’t wait to come back!
The cabin is so awesome and in a very good location.Me and my wife really enjoyed the stay and look forward to staying there again soon. The only regret I have is we didn’t have time to stay longer. Will definitely recommend this cabin to others looking for a nice stress free vacation.
This Cabin is just WOW! :-) It was the most relaxing vacation we had in a long time. The sound of the creek, the surrounding wooded area, so beautiful. Away from everything - just nature! The Cabin has everything you need, I am not kidding, they thought about of all little things, there was absolutely nothing missing! We enjoyed our stay so much, that we will be back for sure! Thanks to Pete and Darlene for creating such a wonderful place :-)Edith and Chris with Artos

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cabin is a little bit far out.We had some issues with check in because the access codes were wrong. The owner/manager was pretty quick to respond and provide the correct information. The stream was very nice, and the porches allowed us to sit outside on windy days.
It was very private as neighbors were not using their vacation property. Was a tiny challenge figuring out the directions and the gate but once in was very nice. Loved the sound of the stream. The beds were a bit like Goldilocks and the 3 bears, Just had to try each to see which one was best. Ended up switching with my friend and we were both happy. Perfect weather and spent most of the time on the porch, if not wading in the water. Kitchen and set up inside was good. Felt very friendly. It was fresh with open windows and there were little touches like how the towels were set up.

Could not get in house. No phone service. Went home. Who is responsible for my refund?
We not only could not get into the house Rain had washed out road. We got stuck. Only thing we could reach was state police. He had to drive to get reception. He got us a tow truck that cost 300. The state police advised us not to try to go back. We went home

During our correspondence, you stated that you had tried to have this review removed before it was published. It appears that this has not been adjusted yet. Therefore, we would just like to address these issues.
We would first like to say, that we are very disappointed that you had this bad experience and did not feel like you could enjoy your weekend. We feel it is very important for our guests to have a great stay from arrival to departure and we strive to give our guests a 5 star experience.
Unfortunately, the problems you incurred, were beyond our control. We make sure that when our guests receive their arrival guide, that the codes to the gate and the lockbox are there. We also stress that the cell service is spotty in the area and to please make sure you have a screenshot of your check in information. Once you had connected to the wifi at the cabin, you would have had cell service. We also state that you have to travel about 1 mile on a gravel road to access the cabin. We are very sorry that it was raining when you arrived making it difficult to see where you were driving and apparently ran off the road and got stuck. In good faith, we did refund the funds that we received from you, even though the circumstances were beyond our control.
Again, we hate that you did not see the information that you needed for check in and that the weather was bad for you!
Sincerely
The hosts were very gracious and the house is nicely appointed with amenities that make for a comfortable stay. It is idyllic if you are able to drive in and stay for the duration of your getaway.
Once we arrived and settled in to the house, it was very pleasant. We stayed in May and temps were between 45 and 74 degrees, so weather was nice, but we were surprised there was no a/c and thought it should have been mentioned.
The house was a little buggy, with a variety of insects making appearances. Not horrible though.
The drive to and from was very difficult. We stayed here for our son’s college graduation and it was a pretty treacherous drive up and down to get to the house, and we had to make the trip a few times. You should take an all wheel drive vehicle if possible. We were grateful not to have to do the drive-in or out during a down pour.
It is these three reasons that we rate our stay a 3 out of 5.
