As you might expect, the private backyard at Flamingo House brims with color and life. Palms and tropical vegetation add lovely contrast against the bright turquoise blue of your private pool. Under a screened lanai, the pool and deck area is a fantastic place to play together. Patio furniture includes sun beds for developing a great vacation tan.

Retreat to the living room solo or en masse, where a massive sectional sofa rewards tired feet after hours of shark-tooth-hunting. Newly updated with an LCD flat-screen TV, you might find you like this living room more than your own at home. Chair-rail finishing adds a touch of elegance, as do classic pieces of furniture and an inviting armchair.

An added spot for casual hanging out is the family room, where comfy sofa doubles as a queen sleeper sofa for two. Tiled floors are clean and crisp, exactly what you want for a vacation spent in flip-flops and bare feet. A large white dining table and six chairs sit opposite, with a breakfast bar just beside. This clever open-plan means everyone can entertain diverse itineraries (napping, Facebook, cooking, reading, TV, etc.) while still enjoying shared company.

The modern kitchen gleams with white cabinetry and crisp countertops. Everything is provided in terms of cookware and nearby shops mean you’ll easily fill up the spacious cupboards. To beat the mid-day sun, look no further than your idyllic outdoor living room. Screened and fully shaded, this lanai has patio seating and an outside dining table. Seated under the ceiling fan you’ll love playing cards together here over a pitcher of iced tea. The grassed backyard just outside is fenced for pets to safely play.

Embrace your inner Parrot Head (everyone’s got one) in the indoor cocktail area. Bright tropical prints, plants and a bar table mean you only need put the lime in the coconut...or whatever your preferred recipe. A clock on the wall even marks 5 O’ clock.

Choose to accommodate a nuclear family in the master bedroom or one couple with room to spare. A king bed and queen-sized sleeper sofa afford lots of flexibility. An overhead ceiling fan and LCD TV create your own hotel-quality space - but better (you don’t have to share the pool with anyone)! Two more guests will find beachy bliss in the second bedroom. A queen bed shows off ocean blues and greens, cleverly accented with seaside accents. Space is comfortable and polished, with a large dresser and brand new TV.

Bedroom three has two twin beds set far apart on handsome tiled floors. In neutrals with elegant furniture, the room will equally suit adults as it will children used to smaller beds. A master bath and full guest bath are kept shiny clean with high-end finishings to boot.

In total, ten guests will find vacation happiness under the roof of Flamingo House. Be sure to bring your pets, especially your water dogs.

A seven block walk to the humans’ beach, dogs will love their very own piece of the ocean - on offer at nearby Brohard Paw Park. They’ll think it’s heaven and will love you even more. Our vacation at the Venice Flamingo house.<br/>It was very clean, water in the pool too cool<br/>for enjoyment, should of been up higher. Location was ok, just too much street traffic<br/>and noise. Close to beaches and shopping. All<br/>in all we had a very good time. Would do it again.

Our month in venice

We stayed at the Flamingo House for the month of October.We had another couple along with our two dogs.The back yard was great, the dogs loved it ,especially when the squirrel came to visit. Too bad the orange tree was empty except for one orange. <br/> The inside of the house was very clean and we liked the lay out. We had a problem with the water softner.I called Kevin and the next morning the water company was there to fix it.We all enjoyed the pool especially my wife, she was in at least twice every day.<br/> The one area that could use a cleaning is the sides and the roof of the pool,otherwise every thing was very acceptable.<br/> We enjoyed our visit to Venice and would not hesitate to return.

strike 2 was the right one!

We first had made a reservation for a house that was on venice island. But when we got there, the property was not as we had expected. Bad odors of humidity and one of the main bedroom was right by the furnace room. The pictures that we had seen prior<br/> to booking showed nothing that could have prepare us for the deception. There was even a cigarette flotting in the pool! But above all the air conditionner was not working properly. We had specific need in that sens so it was really important for us. M. Kevin<br/> was very helpfull and really tried to accomodate us. We felt that our concern were taking very seriously and that he had a real will to have us enjoy our vacation. He proposed us to move to another house that happened to be available. We were pleased with<br/> this new location. the property was above our expectations. with a large fenced yard for our dogs and a private pool surounded by vegetation that made it even more private. We loved it so much that we even extentended our stay for en extra week. We will definitely<br/> go back to venice and will use vacation rentalpro again. Thank you for such plesant stay. Just one litle thing. The net in the lanai was falling, the one in the door. that gave an easy access to bugs sometime in the evening. It would be nice to have that fix<br/> for the next guest.

My stay in South Venice

The property at 540 Flamigo Rd. was nice.....We were disappointed when we first opened the door and saw the carpet being worn and dull.....but the other rooms made up for the carpet by being very nice ....the layout of rooms and pool with the enclosed laina was very nice ....the fenced in yard was very nice for our dog to run free....I would like to suggest better instructions or information being made available about the home...such as garbageday & information about the ferryboat to S.Venice Beach which we didn't know about for the first 2 weeks of our stay...The available Beach is very nice ....we enjoyed our stay and the area....

CHRISTMAS IN VENICE

We were staying in 540 Flamingo house. It was fairly a decent place for a crew like ours. House is located in a very quiet area not far from shopping center. House is spacious and comfortable although it is not a very high standard, average, I would say. Pool was nice and warm besides the fact that it needed a few days and help of maintenance guys to get it work properly. Generally we had a very good time and I can honestly recommend VR Pros services for my friends. <br/>Best,<br/>Mario from Brooklyn

Needs Repair and Cleaning!

We rented the house during the month of December 2016.

There were a few glaring incidents of unbelievably poor cleaning by your housekeeping service. Here they are -

*Someone (renters? cleaning workers?) used the toilet brush in the master bathroom as a plunger (and there was a plunger in the other bathroom). It was coated with fecal matter. We purchased rubber gloves to clean the fecal matter off the floor toward the back of the toilet where the brush was stored. We discarded the brush.

*The kitchen sink was coated with something (coffee? rust?). We purchased cleanser to scrub the stain from the sink (almost the entire bottom of the sink!)

*The aluminum foil lining on the stove's drip pans had not been changed. We were welcomed by the cooked on sludge from the prior renters. We purchased aluminum foil and changed the linings.

Outside of the main home, there were several areas that should have been cleaned that weren't (and some really still aren't).

*There was a thick coat of mold on the HVAC in the garage. Fortunately, when the crew was here to fix the Internet/TV problem, they called in someone to scrub it off.

*The Florida Room tiles had not been cleaned for a long time. The Florida Room is supposed to be part of the living space. We had to hose it off and scrub it with a broom before we could "live" with it and not drag dirt into the house.

*The pool deck was and still is dirty. We purchased a pool brush and scrubbed it off early in the rental.

*The bottom of the pool screen is covered in mold.

You keep $150 per rental for "damage repair." We suggest that you use it to repair the screens in the queen bed room (holes covered with scotch tape) and screen on the door to the pool. We tried to tape it with duck tape, but it didn't hold. There's also carpet torn by the merge with the kitchen tile. It has carpet pins sticking up, which caught on bare feet.

Kudos to Steve and Jane Campo who worked persistently over the course of two days to get the TVs and Internet working....the initial problem apparently was the owner did not pay the bill.

The beds were comfortable. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog.

The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook. However, the cutlery is dangerously dull and rusty.

We found it challenging to figure out the outlet GFI systems because many didn't work. However, there was an adequate number of outlets and good lighting.
