We arrived earlier than check in time & Norma made sure cleaning was complete from previous renters. It was ready & we could get right in. The house was just what we needed for a family get away from the mountains & to the beach. The beach was right down the road-we saw sunrises each morning & surfed the waves! Thank you!

Wonderful relaxing stay

We loved our stay at Buoys and Gulls. The house was spotless when we arrived, air conditioning worked great, and the owner was very responsive. The big sunroom is so comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing after a long day at the beach. Beds are comfortable too. Will definitely stay again!

Stayed here for 5 days while we attended a wedding in Corolla. The property is very clean and spacious. It had more room then I thought. Great location, close to the beach and downtown Duck. I highly recommend this property!

House was just as explained. You need to take paper products with you and pods for washer and dish washer. 2 blocks from ocean will need to take and carry what you need or pull wagon.. Will rent a golf cart when we come back or bring sxs. Beds slept good TV in bedroom only got one channel. Plenty of room for whole family.

Short trip to the Outer Banks

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we had a wonderful time! The house was perfect for my family and for what we needed. It was a very short walk to the beach and very close (driving) to shops and restaurants. The owners were very responsive and welcoming.

Nice!

Very charming, comfortable place to stay! Did have a little walk to the beach but we didn’t mind since it was private to just those on the street. We would definitely stay here again

This house was perfect for my family of 5. Lots of space for the entire family to comfortably relax. Norma was a great host and answered all of my questions that I messaged to her. The walk to the beach was exactly 5 mins as described and not bad at all. We had a great stay here, would 100% recommend.

Loved Loved the house

We love Sound Sea Village and Buoys and Gulls was perfect. The location is great and the house and beach vibe was wonderful. The sleeping options were perfect and the pull out sofa in one of the family rooms was a bonus we didn't even know about! We had an amazing vacation and really appreciate everything!

Clean and comfy!

Norma’s house is clean and comfortable, perfect for a vacation in the OBX. Norma was extremely responsive to our needs & check-in was a breeze. There is a beach cart with chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards & the property is a short walk to the beach. We used the charcoal grill for dinner one night, too. Will definitely stay here for our next visit.

Property was in a great location and provided amenities and gear that were wonderful for our family. However, the property has an odor (very similar to moth balls) and damp rid hanging bags throughout the house. Also, the grass leading to the stairs was very high, and we were concerned about ticks.

Heat and air

It was a great visit except our second day was interrupted by the air conditioning man who was there for at least four hours and we had no idea he was going to come. So it made us rethink that day, and we only had a couple of days there all together.

I am glad you had a great stay other than the AC. We do apologize about the AC company coming and the time it took, I did message you regarding it before they showed up on VRBO messenger where we had been communicating prior. As an owner, we felt best when the part came in for it to be replaced asap than for the ac to go out on your stay as hot as it has been. We do understand your frustration and hope to make it up to you on a future stay.

The house and location were perfect. The whole family enjoyed the stay and nobody had any complaints. The couch was super comfy and let us all hang out together in the evenings. The beach toys that were left for our use were certainly an unexpected bonus and the kids had a blast with them!
